Media is not making me steal. But in a way is like the story of the very hot girl with the short skirt teasing the old sick guy with a history of rape.
usually they have two, one for the fat pack or release, and another one with different art for judges. But since your store owner had it, it's probabally the release prize

Or he opened a Fat Pack and will get the $4!+ sewed out of him:o!
WOTC is really getting a lot of milage out of that art. First on the Fat Pack, then on the Grand Melee playmat and and now the release event prize life counter.
I wish these still came in fat packs (like in Ravnica, Guildpact, and Dissension)... they are far better than "spin-down life counters" (dice, people. they're dice.) These are easier to use and the numbers go higher. I just ordered the Coldsnap, Time Spiral, Planar Chaos, Future Sight, and Tenth Edition life counters like this on eBay. Cost me $25. Anybody wanna hook me up with a Lorwyn one when they get one?
Promo Cards – Participate in League Play or the Tournament and receive one card (while supplies last). You may only receive 1 promo card even if you participate in both formats.
Magic Pens & Scorepads available while supplies last.
Deckboxes – The top 4 tournament finishers and 5 random door prizes.
Life Counters – The top 3 tournament finishers and 1 random door prize.
Magic T-shirts – The top 2 finishers in League Play.
Would it be so hard for Wizards to be nice and make these dual life counters? They are just taking up space on my desk right now as singles... I mean yeah it is better to write the life totals... but the floor rules encourage you to track both life totals. Why cant Wizards put out a tool that the average FNM player would be able to get a hold of that would reinforce that idea?
Looks wise, yes it looks kinda cool, I wont be trying to win just to get one of these though. At least it is better than the 10th ed ones, that thing is a pain to use. I tried it just playing random games before an FNM it is hard to use one handed like the giant should be able to be used from past experience.

Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Saftey, deserve neither Liberty nor Saftey.
