Whooey destroys legendary creatures too! This is exciting... has potential in a mana ramp deck.
P.S. Maybe I didn't look at the art closely enough, but now that the Overbeing's prerelease art is shown (rendered), it looks AMAZING.

Bah its not even an instant. I keep wondering if I could cast this on a Tidespout Tyrant how much fun would it be. But really is there any creature that you'd want to read "chuck a land and make more of me."? If nothing else itsa really really expensive way to kill Legendary Creatures...
This card could have had some use if it was an instant. As a sorcery it is utter jank.
I think you mean to say, ". . . As a sorcery it is utter jank, turn after turn, until the end of the game & until your opponent is very dead. . . " This is a good card. It pretty much give all of your lands in hand:
"4:symgu::symgu:; discard this card: Put a token into play that's a copy of target creature. Play this ability as a sorcery".
That's good. Really good bro, you should really consider Retrace cards giving your lands the ability to do stuff. None of that is bad at all.
Spitting Image is a solid casual card. I can't imagine being in a draft and picking this at all. A 6cc token generator, even a repeatable one, is horrible in Limited. I wish I'd had something like this when I started playing and everyone was rocking Memnarch or even Konda, Lord of Eiganjo.
I really like this card. Fits well with any number of citp effects, large beaters, and works as a legendary killer. Seems to me that it will be one of those cards that works great as a one of in certain decks, but it's not going to be seeing 4 copies in the main deck anywhere besides casual.

where can you find a pic of the prerelease card???? i've been looking for days
The beauty in this is that it can hit legends too, acting as blue/green removal. PLUS if you use it on something like, oh, i don't know, TILLING TREEFOLK, you can set up your lands for disacrd to copy all over again. YAY BOMAGE!
EXCEPT IT HAS EVASION AND COUNTS YOUR OPPONENTS CREATURES AS WELL AS YOUR OWN AND CREATURE TOKENS WTF DEAR GOD! DO YOU NOT SEEEEEE THE SHENANIGANS THIS GUY IS ABOUT TO UNLOAD ON YOUR FACE? NANTUKO HUSK IS ALL LIKE "LOL MEET MY BFF JILL!" ALL THE DEVOUR CREATURES ARE LIKE "LOLOLOLOLOL"
Spitting Image is interesting, but cc 6 is just sad. It probably would be overpowered at like 3, but why not 4 or 5. Anyway, I might put it in one of my casual decks. Its flavor text isn't too shabby either.

Spitting Image:
In a green deck, it's a relentless poke against control. How often have you been playing a person sitting behind a counter wall praying for some top deck miracle? Retrace in general is great for this, and Spitting Image in particular will be a great advantage for creature based green aggro decks.
Is it useful in Blue decks? I think it is, but more for the combo element it provides. It's much better than Soul Foundry for those sorts of decks. The flexiblity to choose different targets each time it good and you don't lose the imprinted card with Spitting Image, since it's not a permanent sitting on the board.

So you would like a copy spell without having any restrictions for 4 mana? In a color that can ramp to 4 by turn 3? Not that 5 is much better since you can hit that turn 3 too. 6 is great, gives you the possibility to cast by 3 if you have Devoted Druid down and dropped a Elves/Bird turn 1.
I hope that i get Spitting Image and Tilling Treefolk in my limited pool so i can abuse the Retrace cards. Throw in Call the Skybreaker for some unique retrace options
Splitting Image- The 6cc is a bit expensive, however the reusability of trace makes it very nice, in limited it can continuously copy the best creature in play as well as killing legendary creatures. In constructed it does the same but the 6cc combined with the requirement of a creature being in play makes it appeal to me less than the other expensive token producing retrace spells.

Yes, I would, because you actually need something good to copy before you play it. There would be nearly no reason to play this early game, and therefore, I think 4 or 5 mana would be fine, while 6 is excessive.

I just realized. Mycoloth perfectly demonstrates the devour mechanic.
Mycoloth: NOMNOMNOM on Dragon Fodder.
One turn later, 1/1 turds come out.

I think 6 is fine because it allows you the ability to copy 4 or 5 mana costing creatures repeatedly. It evens out, especially if you keep copying a 5 mana costed u/g liege in your own u/g deck.

Fire of Will is going to be great. It has a great art too. I definitely think I'm going to build a deck next.
