How long is the cards' names finalized before a set is printed? I think it's fairly safe to assume that CON is already finalized, if not, very close.
At what point would "scissors" be in its development? Just curious.
Actually it's likely at the printers as we speak. I've done work with a non-WOTC ccg company and if they run ship similarly, this whole block is pretty much in the can. This is to prevent accidents as most game companies send away to another country for printing because it's cheaper. The downside is that to save on costs that also means the stuff spends about a month on a boat. So by having things ready very early they can rush job printing mistakes that are non-serious and still be sure everyone gets product on the advertised days. In fact, I'm pretty sure that the company I worked with dealt with the same printer as of about 3 years ago. Not saying they still are, but I can promise they aren't printing in the USA. So think of it this way:
Alara - at the distributers.
Conflux - Printing
Scissors - Final editing process
next block - testing
This is why you rarely see "sollutions" appear to problem cards until 1-2 sets later. You can't really stop press just because someone breaks a card wide open.
As for the info... I believe it. What a rough weekend for WOTC, considering how many people are griping about pre-release.
The fact that the card "Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker" has Planeswalker on the title may indicate that it won't have the type planeswalker on it. Makes sense, at least.
Well, Nicol Bolas is a planeswalker. If the card isn't planeswalker type, then it would be legendary creature. That would be weird now that you can actually print planeswalkers, though.
nicol bloas is one of the most powerful planeswalkers in the story line and WAY to powerful to be printed on a card. the only reason he did have a card was because that card was printed before he was a planeswalker. i want to believe this is fake just because of that.
That's why the Planeswalker card type exists.
The flavor of the Planeswalker card types is that you make a brief "contract" with a Planeswalker for him to help you a little bit. Planeswalker Nicol Bolas won't be fighting at his full power when you play him - he'll just help you as much as he fell like and them go away. That's why they have "Loyalty", not "Life".

They could have Bolas have something like Hymn to Tourach instead of Mind Twist, saying that he's too arrogant to use his full power against mere mortals (neo-planeswalkers).
Yes, that's twice in this thread you've said that (with the exact same text, even). That is possible. However, 'pulling their punches' is never a good storyline reason for someone to suck.
WotC will likely use one of their other standbys:
1) Wrong place in the timestream (Jaya and the old Bolas both used this one, I believe, as well as printing young Ajani after old Ajani)
2) Planeswalkers were depowered after Future Sight (Every other Planeswalker printed)

Well, no one responded the first time, so...
Those standbys can work too, as we don't know when Lorwyn-Shadowmoor and Shards of Alara take place.

You have to understand most planes of existance all happen roughly around the same time. It's just an alternate universe. We know Lorwyn is a little after Shards but obviously connected through time with Ajani when he jumps into Lorwyn. All Planeswalker's walk where they want when they want at time gaps. How do you think Mirrodin was made and sustained but obviously started to head down the path of Phyrexia. Since Karn couldn't get back he learned more from Urza and went back to claim his head.
Land destruction! In Naya, I hope. Man, I hope they don't do a color-switch and force me to make a new deck.
Conflux
This one probably does something big, seeing as it's the set name.
Esperzoa
Esperzoa? Probably not the final name...
Gluttonous Slime
Hooray for more oozes! Hopefully they won't stink.
Malfegor
Black's planeswalker, I'm guessing.
Martial Coup
Hmmm... interesting...
Nacatl Hunt-Pride Nacatl Outlander Nacatl Savage
More Nacatl. Thank God. I think they may be Naya's last hopes. Aside from Woolly Thoctar, they were the only cheap, incredibly strong Naya creatures in the set.
Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker
Oh teh noes! Teh dragonz explodzz!!!!1!!ONE!!
Nyxathid
That's a wierd name.
Progenitus
Mythic Rare, I think. I hope it's not just some fatty. And I hope it has the art on the back of the tokens... that was sweet.
Quenchable Fire
Sounds pretty, um, hard to put out. /sarcasm
Worldheart Phoenix
A phoenix? Sign me up. Just wait until they just make it some 3cc french vanilla thing...
Anyway, judging by the card names, which isn't a good thing to make a conjecture on, this is probably going to be better than Shards. That's assuming all those cards are good.
Now, back to what matters:
Online translators seems to indicate that the site is of some sort of Japanese official national duelist organizer. Anyone skilled in Japanese could give better translations?
Anyway, seems legit enough. Kind of funny.

This saddens me. I don't think there will be any legal action this time, but it's disappointing to have cardless names...
Yes I agree; the man from Osaka will simply be silenced.
This find is epic. It gives me lulz. Like this ->
The one weird thing is the card named Conflux. It's odd to have a card named 'Conflux' in a set named "Conflux," don't you think?
And the card "Shard Convergence." What the deuce? Isn't that the same thing? And, isn't it odd for the entire calamitous happening which makes the set what it is in the plot, to be put on some single spell for our simple use?
Since (somehow) no one has said about the text file yet: We can infer that the text file was some sort of translation guide, possibly for a computer application. The file's name is "o_data_ej.txt", where the 'ej' clearly means English-Japanese.
Who knows what "mjmj" is was supposed to be.

You didn't understand what I said then. I didn't say they were the same. If you remember the story Karn's first project was Mirrodin. He left Phyrexia finished Mirrodin went back to Phyrexia, got locked out out Mirrodin by his own watcher Memnarch went back claimed the head of Urza and watched from outside his plane while Mirrodin slowly turned into what looked like Phyrexia. Until he was able to get back in after Memnarch's defeat.

The list was a translation guide for judges: They could use it to find the English name for a Japanese card, so that they could look up Oracle text. There was a corresponding list sorted by the Japanese name instead, but it didn't have the Conflux cards. (It's listed, along with Gatherer and a complete Oracle text spoiler with both Japanese and English names, under the heading Oracle(tm) Card Reference).
I dunno what mjmj means, though. My guess is just that it vaguely sounds like Magic Magic. The site appears to have been an official or semi-official ruling site for Magic in Japanese.
Edit: My google cache version of the file only runs through Necro-impotence, so it must have stopped after the first half.

Ah. I did misunderstand. I thought that you were saying that Phyrexia was Mirrodin gone around a big time loop or something.
And the card "Shard Convergence." What the deuce? Isn't that the same thing? And, isn't it odd for the entire calamitous happening which makes the set what it is in the plot, to be put on some single spell for our simple use?
It might be some kind of metaphorical name. Not directly related to the Shards coming together, but to the coming together of mana of something, named like that on purpose, of course. It's a bit weird, for sure.
Looks like we'll have to wait and see. Before ALA previews started, we had a very large rumor thread about the themes of the set that turned out to be fake. Maybe this one will be the same, maybe not.
The site looks kinda of "official". Ok, the layout is nonexistent, but it has a copy of the Comp.Rule, cards sorted by jap name and by eng name, etc.

No. Considering how exact (Esper Cormorants, Ethersworn Adjudicator, Tukatongue Thallid, etc.) all the other translations are, this is a translation guide for judges, and Nacatl Hunt-Pride is an actual card, DIFFERENT from Nacatl War-Pride.
