Do you have to pay the mana for hellkite charger before damage is dealt?, if you do then it probably wont work because the sword requires that damage be dealt before the trigger that untaps lands occurs.
Sure, if your Charger lives three turns. Bear Umbra lets you go off the turn after casting the Hellkite because it triggers on attacking. Drop a land, enchant, swing, order triggers such that your lands untap before you pay for the extra combat phase.
This one, however, requires you do damage. So if you cast your charger on six mana, then next turn you need at least 9 if you want to go infinite the same turn as you equip, or else you won't have the requisite 7 mana to pay for the trigger.
The abilities are arguable and everything. But the reason sword of body and mind is being played is mostly because it gives fits to both Mr. Jace and Mr. Primeval. Some bears are played and some cards are milled, but in the end it doesn't really matter that much.
If this sword gets played, it will be because it being pro black and green is somehow relevant. For all I care the abilities could have been "clap your hands and target opponent dances the macarena"

You have to pay the first time, attack, untap, pay 8, attack, untap, pay 8, attack, untap and on into infinity.
And I have to say it: it's really good in EDH. Untapping lands is always awesome. I can't wait to get this onto a Primeval Titan.
You know what card loves this sword? Blue Sun's Zenith. Tap everything with the untap ability on the stack, tap them again, and bingo! Cards up the wazoo.
I personally love this sword. I hope it's real. If any of you nonbelievers say it's jank, I'll gladly take any you get off your hands.
I really see nothing here to distinguish this as legit, vs. speculation compiled from previously known orb results.
The one thing that makes me a little skeptical is the fact that Feast or Famine is a real card, and you'd think that with a name like that, they would tie the mechanics of the sword to the card, even if it's indirectly. You know, like Sword of Fire // Ice does. Though I guess Terror on a sword might be a little overpowered and a 2/2 zombie is already taken via SoB&M.
Still, probably true given the way we've been getting these spoilers.
Personally I like the sword. The abilities may be a little underwhelming compared to the hopes people had for it, but it seems plenty strong enough without being broken. Also, pro-black is really good right now. Kinda have to remember how huge that protection is and weigh that in with the abilities too. Pro-green isn't too shabby either, with the popularity of green right now, but black is really the color for reliable removal right now. so, that's going to be the big one.

Now, to play this or the SoBaM in Boros. The only thing the SoBaM has over this is that it reads "protection from Jace" and can't mill by accident for the win.
This card is not great at all, the only really going for it is the pro-black... I can't believe people think this is better than Sword of Body and Mind... Sword of Body and Mind is a win condition... I can't could the times that I just changed tactics and went for the mill in a game cause I needed to switch to being a control player for the matchup... pro-blue also means it survives jace's bounce. I really hope this is fake, cause I love swords, but this one seems like the ugly child you hide away when people come visit.

Does this means that the next set name will be New Phyrexia? They will print out the pro white/red sword in that set and pro white/red means "anti-metalcraft". Anti-metalcraft means Phyrexia, hence Phyrexia wins.
Nope, I saw exactly this train of thoughts in Speculation several times.
Still not quite sure what to think of this, game-wise. Also, I will believe it when I see the scan (or an independent source confirms it).
Not to get to far of subject. But doesnt the fact that SoM was 80/20 and the fact that certain mirran cards see Necrotic ooze are much more phyrexian but ended up mirran to keep the set 80/20. Follwed by MBS which is 50/50 point towards the next set being next set being New Phyrexia being with 80% phyrexia and 20% mirran. Wotc like MTG to have that full circle thing.

Seems pretty awesome. Bear Umbra would probably be playable if it was not for the inherent card disadvantage of using an Aura (even one with Totem Armor), but this also gives a very relevant form of protection against removal and another against some of the bigger creatures in the game. Untapping all your lands is actually a pretty standout bonus, since it makes it easy to get an attack in, then play another creature and equip it, or simply equip a secondary creature, so now you also have a blocker.
eh, +2/+2 on a creature with 2 toughness will make it Bolt Proof. (Obviously talking about a single bolt.) Pro-Black means it dodges the main direct kill spell color. Discard will hurt some decks more than others, and once in top deck it makes you use what you draw, or have to find a blocker, else you lose it. The green side of it would be kinda wasted on a lot of situations, but i'm pretty sure there's quite a few decks that'll be able to take advantage of it.
Decent card, imo.
At least it has pro black.
On turn 5, one might try to live the dream and drop this, equip it, and swing and then untap and have all their mana open.
Magical Chirstmas Landy, but it's a damn powerful dream.
Otherwise, it's about as solid, if not more so, than the UG sword. Pro black and green is very strong to go along with +2/+2, and it provides mana, and card advantage. I think people are underrating both abilities tbh.
meh, good but not really too exciting. Was hoping for something less generic than just discard, but whatever, discard is a good way to get ahead.

I think people are highly underrating this. Seems to be sofai >(sofaf~=solas)>sobam
Tempo cards are often very underrated, and there are a ton of situations that push this above sofai (though ideally I would want both and a jitte with mystic).
1. Powerful openings (t1 bird, t2 cobra fetchland this, t3 equip swing vengevine/jace/bsa)
2. With 5 lands and a situation where you won't be blocked its free
3. Free manland swings (6 lands, one being creeping tar pit, + this = business, inkmoth nexus can get started on free swings as early as t3)
4. Plays well with mystic/fauna shaman
Sofai and solas are certainly better late topdecks, but this is imo the best to have in an opening hand. Sofai can recover a game better, but this will put you far ahead of your opponent in the early game.
I think you're all kind of bonkers for thinking this is better than Body and Mind. Let me remind you that the only Tier 1 deck that effectively uses equipment at the moment is Wx Quest for the Holy Relic. And in that deck, the biggest issue is interaction, not opposing creatures.
What I mean is that all the relevant Wx creatures fly, so getting unblocked past Black and Green is largely irrelevant in that those colors have few if any flying blockers. More importantly, the Mill and Token provide chump blockers and an alternate win-con against control, while a Specter ability and Land Untap are damn near useless in Wx Quest.
The only thing keeping this card from being complete gutter trash is the Pro Black component. I might run one in the sideboard just in case, but this sword is clearly the inferior.

Untap would be okay if you're running red and play Savage Beating, Relentless Assault or Aggravated Assault. It's possible we could see a reprint here somewhere.
Now that would be a sword worth printing.
