Can somebody tell me from what expansions are the basic lands in this set? I found a forest I can't recognize. If you can tell from what set is every basic land in K vs D, I will be very happy
Looks like the Forests/Plains that aren't from Alara are Euro Lands. Very odd - I never thought they'd be reprinted.
Umm. Don't have the KvD set, so I have to keep going back and forth to Star City, but IIRC, it's the Nottingham Forest one, Schwartzwald (Black Forest), and ...
My mistake, those aren't Euro Plains, they're Invasion and Masques.

It's awesome that we're seeing Euro lands get reprinted. I, for one, will be happy to tack on KvD Forests onto any orders I make to enjoy more excellent arted basics in my decks.
To be honest though, I pretty much expected to see Euro and/or APAC basic land art in something after we saw the MPS Lorwyn art basics in M11 and Portal 2 lands hitting Archenemy. Hopefully, we'll see more insertions in core sets, DDs, and other products (Planechase, Commander, Archenemy, etc) of awesome basic lands from pre-new border sets.
Because, honestly, seeing the same old sets of basics from the Core Set, Alara, Mirrodin, and Time Spiral just makes me pitch the lands into the back of my box. Giving me a Euro land or a Masques land art for my basics at least gives me some more value out of the set with no more real effort.

Wow. These are some of the most lackluster decklists I've ever seen. Good job wizards.

Into the Maw of Hell is a name so awesome, it deserves its own song.
It would be about a world of brown spikes and red fire, where men fight and scream and become blurry masses. Then it would change to somber, we learn that this glorious place exists only in Raymond Swanland's head. To visit it, you must enter the maw of Hell itself.
As a warning, my LGS has had two packages opened already (one to myself, and one to another player) where both sealed decks were the Dragon decks. Foils, fold-together deck boxes, everything else was normal . . . . but two dragon decks instead of one knights and one dragons. Needless to say, I'm a little put off by this, and Customer Support will be hearing from me (and the other person).
. . . . Oh, and I absolutely adore the foil KotR. Looks even better when seen in person, with all of its foily goodness.
Played 1, yes 1 game with this and was so heartbroken by dragons I took it apart and filed the cards. I even had a Shaman on the board but it didn't help against the brutal knights.
people in (insert state you don't like here) still wouldn't get it because (insert bad stereotype here).
I love this and am using this from now on.
On topic: What I don't get is this; If Wizards can't produce a good dragon deck to battle the knights and it loses every time, what was the real point of taking out something so flavorful as Hunted Dragon? When the difference between "Lose" and "Lose More", flavor does affect it. At least you would have lost with a Hunted Dragon!

Played two games. First was a blowout by Knights, second was a decent victory by Dragons. Both decks are straightforward, but Knights has better interactions and meshes decently. Dragons feel handicapped; I only won the second game because my girlfriend kept drawing land and not much else. 1 more Seething Song would've been really nice.
Furnace Dragon should've made it. Hellkite foil looks hot. KoR foil is a shiny abomination.
My KotR was slightly miscut. About half of the top black border is gone, and it has a wider bottom black border.
*sigh*
Why does this keep happening to me? First in my original Deck Builders Toolkit, then in my Elspeth vs Tezzeret (both foils), AGAIN in my other Deck Builders Toolkit, and now my KotR.
I am happy with this product though. I like the new art for all of the cards, and getting some in a new frame is nice. Love the foils.

The dragon deck would dominate with ramp, though. Knights don't have enough answers for turn 4 5/5 fliers that can sweep the board. Even something as simple as +1 dragonspeaker shaman and +1 seething song might tip the balance. Braid of Fire would've been bonkers, but they had to use all their rare slots on dragons.
I'm 1 and 1 so far with dragons. First game I had to take a mulligan, and even then didn't have a terrific starting hand. But I got out a Dragon Whelp on turn 4, which got exiled via Oblivion Ring. Then I got out a Mordant Dragon on turn 6, which got exiled via Reciprocate. Finally I put out a Kilnmouth Dragon that wasn't answered on turn 8, upgraded it with Claws of Valakut for +8/+8, and swung a couple times for the win.
Second game I drew what I thought would be a winning starting hand. Got out a Fire-Belly Changeling on turn 2, Bloodmark Mentor on turn 3, and Dragon Whelp on turn 4. Unfortunately, the knights were even better: Knight of Cliffhaven on turn 2, Knight Exemplar (making others indestructible) on turn 3, Skyhunter Patrol (flying) on turn 4, and then Loxodon Warhammer on turn 6 put me away. I even stole the Knight Exemplar via Temporary Insanity and used it to block the Warhammer-equipped Knight of Cliffhaven, but couldn't survive the barrage after Harm's Way was used to deflect my powered-up first-striking Fire-Belly Changeling, who was attempting to block a 2/2 knight, and instead hit my Bloodmark Mentor. Ouch!
Just too many good knights and effective removal/deflection vs relatively vanilla low-cost creatures in the dragons deck. Sure, if you get the 6+ CMC dragons out, you can do some damage... but unless the knights draw too many lands and not enough creatures, the dragons are toast (no pun intended).
By the way, did anybody else get 3 Goblin Tokens with their set? The strategy guide says the set comes with 2 tokens....
The dragon deck has too little answers against the Knight Deck. On turn 2 I played the Silver Knight and it pretty much won the game (with pump - cant even be blocked by the Henge thing and the pathetic Ghostfire). Silklash Spider permanently negates the flying advantage of dragons. Same goes for Warhammer.
The flavor of the deck is admittedly the most resonant of all Duel Decks (opinion of course). Perhaps it should be a forum project to create a better one. Personally I would try to improve it first before dismantling the decks for scraps.
EDIT: Aesthetics of dragon decks is so bad... Changelings is so obviously forced.
I really like the idea of duel decks, but I can't find one with a really good review... Elves vs goblins looked sweet, but is out of the picture now. The only other one I haven't seen a lot of bashing on I think is Elspeth vs tezzeret. Maybe jace vs chandra too, but burn can be boring.. Which ones are most highly recommended?
I think it'd be fun to have them around, since most of the players I know only play very rarely, and it'd be nice to have two decks built to play each other that we could just pick up when we wanted to game. I wish they went back and made a ton of event decks for other 'standards' for some variety, because I also like having a more focused deck... Event duel decks! The TO just buys one and gives everyone a deck, designed to fight the other players. You don't even have to bring a deck anymore, lol.

Yeah, I think generally what people observed when the decklist was revealed is accurate - Dragons have it bad to start, but if you can get any one of the bomby dragons (which is all of them except Mordant) out early enough you essentially win.
I only got 2 gobby tokens, one frontlining each sealed deck.
I was annoied the dragons have little in the form of good removal, Silver Knight (much as i love him) shouldnt be in here, and most of the dragons were barely good choices Also, no Griffin Token? that upset me lolol I think i could have built a better set in my sleep, and im positive im not the only one here that shares that sentiment

I played 3 games with KvD yesterday and found the decks were much more competitive than I expected - the Dragons took 2 out of 3. Like any Duel Deck set, it's possible for one deck to play a threat that's almost impossible for the other to answer (like Silver Knight). But the Knights lack any real finishers, and the Dragon deck takes advantage of this with a lot of flexible burn spells/abilities like Cone of Flame and Jaws of Stone that will 2-for-1 or 3-for-1 the Knights.
Compared to the other Duel Decks, KvD is pretty simple mechanically. But it's not as hopelessly unbalanced as it appears to be.
