I'm going to say nay: Nay. Her wings are leathery and batlike, but this is a pretty common feature of Magic's demons, too, like on Extractor Demon, Hellcarver Demon or Abyssal Persecutor. If she were draconic, I would expect some fire anywhere on that piece of art or maybe claws instead of fingers. However, I think that "Legendary Creature - Demon Angel" seem like a very likely typeline for her, and that alone would be damn sweet. It could still be a WBR general, since red Demons have been done before (especially in multicolour combinations).
Honestly, the direction Wizards is going? I wouldn't be surprised, Galspanic.

Galspanic, that would piss me off lol.

vaguely related, but I think magic needs a few more B angels and elves. plus elf vampires, 'cause why not?
I actually hate this idea. Part of what was so great and beloved about EDH was that it was a format created and popularized by players. I don't like the fact that wizards put a trademark on it...it just doesn't have the same feel. "Hey anyone want to play a game of EDH" sounds a lot better than "Hey anyone want to play a game of Magic: The Gathering Commander"
1. The format is still run by players
2. The product support allows for new cards to enter the format specifically for EDH without making something "stick out" in the main sets that comes off as "EDH bait." So fewer "jank rares."
3. EDH format had some glaring holes in it considering it's unique rules set.
4. "Wedges" have had little support and would have to wait several years with a bit of luck to get filled in, this product fills a direct niche for multicolor commanders.
5. Developers actually play the EDH format, and since it gained notoriety we have seen an increase in some cards specifically targeted for it.
It's an overall positive, since it increases the relative card pool for all formats, involves opening up more decks for EDH, and all with just changing the format's name. Considering that the company isn't influencing the format's overall balance, and instead augmenting what they and they only do best, i. e. creating cards, then it's a win-win.

One thing I love about the format, and that I think the precons will benefit from, is that a lot of the junk rares in other formats really shine in EDH, so they can give a lot of good EDH stuff in the precons without filling them up with staples.
Any chance we can get a nice small spoiler page that just has the cards spoiled so far up to date??? I hate trying to read through all of the pages on threads like this.

I have officially moved to MTGNexus. I just wanted to let people know as my response time to salvation decks being bumped is very hit or miss.

Heehee Hunter's hard at work during spoiler season...
We really haven't been spoiled too many new cards for the Commander set... like two or three at most. I'm sure after NPH is done, we'll head straight on to this product.
Also, while you might be pissed, and may prefer something "good" or "money" from a more recent set, there are those of us that are pissed at those types of cards in these products. If someone wants a Frost Titan, then they can go buy one. If I want an old card like Didgeridoo reprinted in the new frames with the new text, what other product is it supposed to be in?

Well not this one, thanks to the reserve list.
I'm with you on reprinting older cards in new frames. I go out of my way to buy cards like Kilnmouth Dragon, Vampiric Dragon, Twisted Abomination, etc that I use in EDH because I like using new borders as much as I can. First they have to be black then new borders if possible.
My beef with Didgeridoo is that it's a bad card for this product.
First, it's not going to be very useful unless you have 10 high costed Minotaurs in your deck that have good ETB effects that are better on your opponents' turns... which I doubt they will put in there.
Second, one of the "cool" things about EDH is that you have the Command Zone and why would they reprint a card that that didn't interact with your general when it feels like it should. If they reprinted it with "hand or Command Zone*" then it would be a dumb card still, but at least it would function the way you'd want it to.
Cards like Phage, the Untouchable, Ith, High Arcanist, Akroma, Angel of Fury , Korlash, Heir to Blackblade have mechanics that don't play nice with the rules. They are fine creatures but their aren't going to be (or shouldn't be) in precons because they will cause rules headaches and/or confusion for players new to the format.
My beef with Didgeridoo is that it's a bad card for this product.
I see what you did there.
But, in all honesty, we know so little about the decks that Political Puppets may have a Minotaur tribal subtheme or something so Didgeridoo might actually have been an okay card if not for the Reserved List.
Four cards spoiled total. Karador, Nin, Death by Dragons and the Angel. I don't know if the site can support more than one spoiler at once, anyway?
I just remembered, we've got the 5 PLC dragons. If it hadn't been for the Japanese spoilers, we would actually have more Commander cards revealed than we would have NPH...

doesn't this just crap on the whole idea behind EDH, a player made format, and before you tell me it makes it better, you will have more card options now yes, but this just means that wizards/hasbro will now be trying to run a totally casual format, and then they will start to hold tournaments and then there will be bannings, restrictions, but more official tournaments means EDH becomes competitive and then I'll have to read articles on the crap that people are talking about, and there will be way less original decks......way less original decks.....and way less fun....
There are already net decks and decks that consistently win on turn 3 off of combos in EDH. It's just a matter of making a more casual community of EDH players, as where I play we have both kinds of players and for the most part we don't play as much with those who seek to only win in games of EDH, instead of playing strong decks that still aim to win but don't just abuse degenerate turn 3 combos.
Sure, we'll see more players who only play those kinds of decks because they play EDH as a tournament format, but the roots of the format still exist in the more casual community and many of the stronger players in my area play EDH to take a break from Standard/Draft/etc, not to simply play another overly competitive format.

You haven't played in a tournament for prizes... Turn 3-4 kills and cutthroat playing... at Nationals we had 4 player pods and the round time limit was 2 hours. The ENTIRE TOURNAMENT was done by then.

Too bad it's on the reserved list, and won't be reprinted with new frames and text in this product.
Yeah too bad :roll eyes:
I would be pissed if they wasted a spot on that piece of crap. You can't even cheat him into play if he's in the command zone, so what's the point?
