If you can extract the images, like i did, they have a default resolution of 150ppi. This seems far too little to me, and its been bothering me, since i was under the assumption that this pdf was what what handed off to the printers. But if you look at the code for each card along the side:
0001_MTGNPH_EN_LR.pdf
I assume: Card #1 (Karn), of MTG set NPH (New Phyrexia), English, Low Res presumably.
My point being, the low res godbook was spoiled. This would make sense with WOTC's response, explanation and origin of the leak revealed. (was preview material for a magazine) It also makes sense from a security standpoint, as giving out the high-res could facilitate fakes far too easily. For writers who get access to the godbook, it would also produce a smaller file obviously. I'm sure the high res file is huge.
Glistener Elf is going to make waves, just you wait. It is basically a 2/1 for G with no drawback. When have we seen such power in recent sets? It's madness, I tell you, madness! Honestly, start investing in this guy, he'll be worth his weight in gold as soon as people catch on. You've be wise to follow that small bit of advice. Either way, I'll be cashing in once the time of "The Glistener" comes around. Just you wait, sir, just you wait.
Elf, the Oil Glistener 2GG (That's GG for "good game.")

+2 : Look at the top card of target library. That Library's controller is now poisoned. (He or She just lost "the game.")
+0 : Draw 3 Lands, then put 2 lands from your hand on top of your library.
-2 : What are you doing? You already won the game.
-12 : Okay now this is just silly.

Mythic Rare (super premium - only appears in foil form)
On a more serious note I was also shocked when I saw the full spoiler released, then paid extra close attention to the articles - it was obvious then as it's obvious now that they just couldn't handle so much traffic being diverted away from their website and onto other sites, and they had to pull the plug and leak the full set on their site. Each article showcases a major card (or two) and has last-minute changes that indicate hastily rewritten text.
I say that the community leaks hit them pretty dang hard. I fully expect them to target key posters at these boards and various others to attempt to get advance notice of stuff like this (expect them to look at your resume and online presence far more now than before), especially since a stink has been raised about print media getting access to the godbook months before anyone else even gets the first spoiler. They'll be looking to hire replacements for people that they consider high risk(/low reward)s.
Oh and as a helpful reminder:
Be on the lookout for someone's article to reveal more than intended. With so little time between rewriting an article and publishing it, one or more of the major writers of the website will probably let something slip that isn't intended. And then attempt to cover for it. And only make it worse. I would call it "Aggressive Journalism" if someone provoked exchanges like that. You know like back in the old days when something like the Berlin Wall could come down because someone asked for clarification on "when."
anyone know if they are still adding stuff to the "mirrodin site follow the war" thingy?
I mean this: http://www.wizards.com/magic/mirrodin/#world
like they used to put wallpapers and stuff there
are they still doing that or am i wasting my time checking there
I took this mass leak a bit too lightly it seems, that only today I realized what its impact was, at least to me: the lack of daily previews end up causing attention lapse on my part that I didn't know the prerelease was last week.....

Anyways, just an observation.

Gonna miss the thread laughing at the guy on another board posting "Super Secret Orb Codes".
Lol, that would make the orb pretty pointless!
you mean this guy?
Yup that's the guy. Seems like the mods over there are tightening down on him, though we'll see what the M12 Orb brings.
