Yeah i understand what you mean, multiplayer effects are better, and the decks are for multiplayer EDH.
Though i'm not sure the decks will be made of 100% multiplayer cards.
I'm not an expert on this topic.
Me neither
I'm just guessing this based on the 2 meager things they have posted about the decks and the feel of the previous online Commander decks - which I guess aren't good litmus tests for the new stuff.
I could see any of those in there, but remember the big push with these is that they are multiplayer and you start at 40 life. Firemane Angel is really tiny without any significant ability. The lifegain is half as strong because of the 40 point life start... if it only said "each upkeep" it would make more sense in the decks. The resurrect is cool too, but it seems like 10 mana for what is 10 turn clock sucks. Angel of Despair would be perfect though! 5/5 Flying is fine, but the Vindicate on her is about as good at it gets in EDH in terms of spot removal. I kinda doubt she'll be in there, but if I were designing these she would be fighting for a slot.
Mortify... Should be. 1-for-1s in Multiplayer better be strong and it is... and it's an uncommon so they aren't going to feel as precious about the spot it fills. Lightning Helix is awful for EDH. If it was RRWW, Deal 6 gain 6 it would be playable (barely), but a small effect - no matter how efficiently costed - still takes away a spot from something else.
I really don't know though. I am under the impression that while the power-level won't be particularly high, the principles of basic deck building will be illustrated here. They talk about these being introductions to the format, and leaving out Lightning Bolt, Tarmogoyf, Lightning Helix, and other flashy cards that actually suck in EDH make the most sense to me.
Firemane is pretty awesome unless you're talking about combo out on turn 3 EDH. It's a format of attrition and Firemane wins that easily. With flying and first strike, it can beat just about anything in combat when equipped, as well. With a Loxodon Warhammer, it even bests Verdant Force. Of course, the 1 life is kind of neat, too. Sure, it's small, but it's quite possibly 1 life a turn for the rest of the game unless it gets exiled. That can add up to quite a lot in a 3 hour game, especially considering it costs you nothing.
Verdant Force could be in a deck, though. It seems like it gets printed about once a year. Of course, I could see Broodmother, too, especially if we get Gilded Lotus.

Broodmother being Mythic in ARB makes me more hesitant about it being in there, but it is THE PERFECT card for a product showing off Multiplayer for sure. Verdant Force and Broodmate would have prohibitive mana requirements unless the land base really shines... I still hope we see some "every upkeep" stuff.
Broodmate could be demoted. Protean Hydra got demoted in M11 and Knight of the Reliquary got promoted in K vs D. Rarity isn't an exact science unless we're talking planeswalkers. Otherwise, the rarity symbol can change based on a set/product's needs.
Not until after NPH we won't... and here is one downside to having a big dump of spoilers... if this had been a "regular" season, we still might be getting new cards right now... Visual Spoiler wouldn't be up until Weds-Fri...
As for "non-WOTC" spoilers... I honestly don't see why we would on these.
Whoa. has anyone mentioned Decimate? That card is an EDH superstar. It doesn't hit anyone too hard if you don't want it to, and you can even target something on your own side, making the table less likely to revenge smash you on their next turns. Talk about a political card. New frame on this would be nice. It's not reserved is it -.-?

I'd like broodmate a lot but i dont feel it would go in any of the decks. Will mirror mastery have Mirror Gallery and loads of clones (shapeshifters) or will it be more of a Reverberate deck.

it has a human wizard that appears to be cloning himself so i would say yes

Broodmate CANNOT go in any of these decks. Broodmother could fit in the RUG deck though - but with Intet and Copy Guy as generals I don't know if a token theme is likely except in the BUG deck. Even then, I doubt it.

Why do you need a token theme? Multiple Broodmothers = LOLZ It's about as bad as when a guy put Creakwood Liege on Soul Foundry.
I think it'd be cool if the U.S. got a special WUBRG commander that somehow worked with each deck, though they would need to give us a big one and a normal one for it to work. Even so it does seem odd that the U.S. is not on that list, and after seeing the deckboxes I would think many, like myself, would be excited to own one... or a few.
Edit: I was wondering the same as the poster above me... even the LOR five would be cool.
Well I say it's about time that Europe gets thrown a bone with these promotions. I would say though, even if I got one of these boxes I would trade it away ASAP. The big bulky cases wouldn't fit in my deck box case... Cool they do it, just not for me.
Ohhh, ok, it's just a deck BOX. sorta misread that...I thought it was a buy 2 get 1 free deal on commander decks.
Personally don't care much about the deck boxes, oversized generals was, imo, a stupid idea. They don't add any functionality and they're a hassle to carry around. They probably make your deck worse by being more psychologically imposing, too. So fine, europe, keep your stupid deck boxes! I don't even care!
Still, though, I'm curious where this info is coming from, if it's legit.

Agree. I like my deck boxes being only slightly larger than my decks. The idea of lugging these stupid things around sounds silly. I'm going to dump the oversized cards the day I get them and then just have the 5 decks in a big dumb cheap cardboard box. Practical solution to picking up 500 new cards.
Me neither

Pretty sure all creatures have some uses depending on the deck.

I sure hope so... though it would be odd for them to do so, wouldn't it be cheaper just to do the same for each country?
I suppose. Though if we don't end up getting deck boxes, I'd be very disappointed.
but I'd really like to see Ajani Vengeant/Sarkhan Vol and guys like that.

Online retailers are doing that in droves already, not really a big deal.
