I for one hate the flip cards...I always said I would quit magic if they ****ed with the backs of the cards....and they did
I usually support everything wizards does but this is trash...Also this confirms the mysterious Youtube video..So anyone that called fake is wrong and is also a idiot...
"To use the checklist card, set your double-faced card aside and make a mark on the checklist card next to the name of the double-faced card it represents. Be sure to use a writing implement that won't be visible through the back of the checklist card, and to mark only one double-faced card name on each checklist card.
Only official checklist cards may be used to stand in for double-faced cards in a deck. If you use a checklist card to represent any of the double-faced cards in your deck, you must use checklist cards to represent all of them.
You'll use the checklist card any time it's important to keep the identity of your card secret—in other words, when it's in your library, in your hand, or exiled face down. You'll switch to the double-faced card when the card is on the stack, on the battlefield, in the graveyard, or exiled face up.
Any time a double-faced card is visible—whether because it's in a public zone, because it's revealed (say, by Telepathy), or because it's being looked at by a player due to an effect (say, Coercion)—the players who can see it can see both faces. Any player who can look at a checklist card in a hidden zone may look at the double-faced card it represents."
I once farted during the final match for prizes at an FNM. It was a tense moment, everything was quiet, control vs control, I was about to mana leak, thought about it.. and farted. Then mana leaked.
"Wall of Roots trades with Doran. Doran doesn't like Wall of Roots. You would think he might, as they are both trees. But Doran is a sociopathic tree. He and other trees don't get along – hell, he doesn't even get along with himself. Have you seen what happens when you cast two Dorans? Let me tell you, it isn't pretty." -Uri Peleg
Also, limited will be quite confusing with all these checks about how many spells were cats every turn.
Front/back is probably separate from face up/face down; there's a good chance Ixidron works the same against them as it does with everything else. For instance, note that the article states that if playing without sleeves, if something is exiled face down, you'd use the checklist card. Of course that's rather different from being face down in play; honestly I'm mostly inferring this based on what they've done so far when adding new states for permanents.
Transform seems like a weak mechanic, if just for unreliability. Luckily few cards are transform. Allies and Levelers didn't stop the ZEN block from being great and neither will these.
Pretty simple way of resolving Ixidron and Illusory Mask.
A 2 sided card cannot be face down, as said. If anything tries to flip it face down, nothing happens. So Ixidron has no effect on it.
Although the physical action is the same, transforming is not the same as being turned face down. This means that a double-faced card that transforms will not, for example, trigger Unblinking Bleb. Double-faced cards are always face up; they are never face down. If an effect (say, Ixidron) tries to turn a double-faced card face down, nothing happens.
Flip is amazingly elegant and, at the same time, absolutely ridiculous. The cards start off marked and it's going to be an absolute pain in the *** to convince newer players that they have to use a filler card to replace them or sleeve their cards (which is actually something that younger new players tend to fight over).

okay i'm not really one to jump on the hating a keyword ability based solely on its name, but fight just sounds stupid. i can handle enters the battlefield, i can handle dies, but fight? couldn't they have come up with something more dynamic sounding than what 4th graders do on the playground?
I want to use Form of the Dragon, donate the enchantment, then copy the enchantment. Then use Arena on the dragon tokens, just to say: "Now? Now we FIGHT!"

Seriously does this not seem like a huge fail??
Also, limited will be quite confusing with all these checks about how many spells were cast every turn
Also, seems like a lot of work to go through for what looks like a not huge benefit.

I think that technically everything will work, but in practice transform is going to be really annoying.

Still, the concept has been around for a while, now it's just keyworded.
