Angelic Destiny is good. Everybody loves it today. Six months from today, everybody's going to be crying about overpriced mythics.
It's complexity makes it an uncommon. It can't be uncommon because it would be too powerful in Limited, but at least make it a rare. It doesn't feel mythic in any way.
I'm excited to play with it though. Flashback is cool too.
Unfortunately it's been already said it's a mythic
No way, it's extremely powerful. It goes on Mirran Crusdaer, Lost Leonin, Blade Slicer, Hero of Bladehold, her Soldier tokens, or Elspeth's soldier tokens. And that's just in white with Scars block. This card is amazing.
Or because it's exciting enough to have the "wow" factor for the audience it's meant for. Which may or may not include you. (I mean the general "you" there, not specifically speaking to a particular person.)
It's an instant speed 5/5 trampler for 4. Wtf do you people want seriously? It has applications in populate/ above the curve beats decks, or in Bant control/ flash. I seriously think anyone mad at this card for any reason other than losing an attacker to instant speed wurm, should go home and make their own awesome card game and leave the rest of us alone.
These are definitely from Innistrad. The flavor text and art (even the some of the names i.e. Skirsdag) feels very Gothic-themed. From these cards, it looks like we're going to be seeing the darker side of each of the colors. If this is true, this is going to be a very interesting set.
Also, I'm sensing a zombie tribal theme here. Black doesn't often get to produce tokens (oh, hello, Grave Titan), so why else would they make a card like that? And the ability to create zombie hordes would fit in a horror-type setting. This is going to be fun.
Wow, looks like everyone was spot on about the flavor AND the mechanical focus of the set. I love it, too. Gothic horror feels really refreshing after two blocks of mashed-up sci-fi/lovecraftian/indiana jones/dnd/gore heavy horror. I'm ready for a graveyard block to show up again as well. Bring on Innistrad!
Get ready for a whole lot of headaches trying to explain newbies that the creature you just bounced or exiled just made their fancy aura go bye-bye...
Yup. As nice as the flavor is, I really don't think it's worth the rules explanation problems, especially since you can't use the same wording on non-creature permanents.
The word "exile" itself doesn't imply killing. I'm not sure why everyone keeps harping on that. It seems pretty straightforward that the act of banishing a creature to another space doesn't count as "killing" it.

Man I forgot about bounce. I don't care about exiling so much as there aren't too many cards out there doing that. But as for bouncing, that would suck. Thankfully Into the Roil will be gone and there isn't really bounce as versatile/usable available as of now. Hopefully it stays that way. Not to mention blue on a whole should be a lot weaker of a color soon.

You're forgetting that Wizards seems to think that new players are really stupid.
I like the style in all of those arts. It feels sorta like Van Helsing-esque horror, with the Zombie Pirates, the swashbuckling monster-hunter guy, and the cathedrals dotting the landscape.
There's that, and the fact that one of the cards has one of my favorite mechanics ever, Flashback.
If this is Innistrad, I'm beyond excited. There just seems something really cool about that art style.

Angelic Destiny is most likely Mythic because it's cheap and reusable.
Sounds like Rancor. This card is only a mythic so that Wizards sells a few more packs.

And OMG, flashback is back!! My favorite mechanic! I was wondering if they would ever reprint moment's peace and now's the time!
Die triggers don't work when something is exiled. That's intentional.

Not a good comparison. Sphinx could easily reach $20 levels post rotation and Swords will obviously drop significantly post rotation ;).
It's a great Mythic but personally I'm on the fence as we live in a world full of instant-speed removal and Spellskite.
I'd play that as a tribal if I could! Oh gosh that would be so much fun. If this is stuff from INN, I'm already really excited!

Also kinda disappointed with the Bloodgift Demon, being a mono-black player, I was hoping to get a lower CMC arena type card.

It was in the files for the product they were selling. Nothing illegal was done to get the information out of those files.

Does the license agreement for DoTP have a "no peeking at the data files" clause?
