Just came back from Comic Con and was at Steve Arglye's booth. This was a print he was selling, new Lillian Vess for Innistrad. I didn't buy the print, but did get a playmat of this artwork.
Brooke Shields, Planeswalker
obviously, her dark magicks have restored some of her youthful appearance.
That's really cool, thanks for sharing! Liliana looks Brazilian, and Tezz doesn't seem to be aging too well lol. Elspeth is very pretty, and Gideon is real sexy.

That is damn smexy. Someone needs to put this in a PW card design, see if it would work :D.
I really want a werewolf with a casting cost of "GRRR".
I think it should be more balanced, so "GGRR" but I second this idea
Idc if they're awesome or awful ima play me some GR Werewolves. I just hope they actually make Werewolf a creature type and they don't use Human Wolf. I know it'll make any wolf tribal anybody is talking about less amazing but I don't think Werewolves would be working with their quadrupedal cousins that well
I definitely want another GR walker though, Sarkhan is and was amazing for aggro
EDIT: I feel slow lol. You didnt even mention it being a walker and I get why it would be GRRR :-P
...slow...lol
Oh! Nice catch. I was too busy staring at her..uh..wonderful smile and personality to notice the chain veil under that cosmicy shadow fire. Maybe we'll finally get that Liliana PW novel? They've had the complete thing for a long time now, maybe they finally finished getting rid of the typos?

This is the most bisexual thing every put on mtgs.
I once farted during the final match for prizes at an FNM. It was a tense moment, everything was quiet, control vs control, I was about to mana leak, thought about it.. and farted. Then mana leaked.
Kiora Atua is a merfolk planeswalker who commands the powers of the depths. Kiora venerates the huge creatures of the sea—krakens, leviathans, and other denizens of the inky depths—because for her they are evidence that even the most persistent forces can be endured: time, water, predation, and darkness. Kiora is a blue- and green-aligned Planeswalker. She seems calm and wise, but her dreams are bizarre beyond imagining.

Hmm, Monsters & Darkness, a major theme of the next block INNISTRAD. A hint perhaps?
A hint at what? That Kiora is in? Unless there are giant sea vampires and marine werewolves confirmed for the set I don't get what you're suggesting. She likes big ol' sea monsters who are predators, live in the darker parts of the waters, and are old. That's all I'm getting from the description.

Nowhere is mentioned that vampires, werewolves and zombies are the only tribes of Innistrad. In fact, MaRo pointed that these were only a demo of the tribes we are gonna see. And big sea monsters would fit in a gothic set as references of Cthulhu literature (seaside villages under the control of unspeakable sea monsters controlled by Kiora, for example).
Ooh, I didn't event consider any Cthulhu references (mostly because we just had the eldrazi, and I'm not too sure I'd consider sea monsters typical gothic horror), but the scenario you typed up would be pretty cool. Nowhere is it mentioned that she would be the type of merfolk planeswalker to lay siege to any villages, but she does have some crazy dreams. I just don't understand how honoring sea monsters because they can withstand dark waters and being eaten hints at anything.

It could be that Liliana commands the inlands of Innistrad and Kiora the coastal regions/sea, as a shadow queen or something. Kiora finally allies with Sorin to overthrow Liliana... Whether Innistrad has Cthulhu references or not it doesn't matter, there are tons of ways to introduce a merfolk chick planeswalker in a "horror lurks within" block. Either as a passing walker getting caught in the conflict, or as someone already living there, without being her home (as happened with Elspeth in Bant), etc, etc.
Also if Ral Zarek is in the block, whatever part he will play in the Innistrad storyline, he would most likely be the necessary story connector between Innistrad block and Ravnica 2 block, I think.
Also note that it doesn't have to be Chthulu horror for the blue, but it could just be your standard sea monster horror. You know, 20,000 leagues under the sea, Moby Dick, and Titantic.... Your deadly giant squids, whales and icebergs!!!
Edit: Also, my wife just reminded me of a couple of C-horror movies that have been released recently that's something like "Sharktopus vs. Megacroc" or something like that... Imagine how awesome a sharktopus card could be!

Actually, they're hermaphrodites
[/GEEK]
Interesting, so it looks like Innistrad block will bring us Liliana, Ajani, Koth, and... is that a merfolk PW? Oh hells yeah!
Why would it be those four? Just because they happen to be grouped together?

Their placement on the poster doesn't mean that's what block they belong to.
Look at the side with Tezzeret, Elspeth and Karn..Nissa and Sarkhan are there.
Jace Beleren reformatted his mind like a hard drive, then Nicol Bolas wrote the new Tezzeret programming.
Looks kinda weird.

Seconded! They did a very good job at making her creepy. I'm creeped out right now.
