There's a reason for my post. It is easier to shuffle them all into one pile but it is not the funniest in the long run. It gets boring and people will start feeling they have no tactical overview of the planes. Using the special Eternities Map rules makes Planechase very awesome. Shuffling them into one pile is sort of the noob way and the way everybody does it untill they realize how great The Eternities Map is
It really depends on your appetite for randomness. I actually like one big plane deck and one big scheme deck that everyone draws from, for a free for all. It's like Planar Chaos[/card], except without the issues involved with actually flipping coins.
Too bad we will have to wait... 6.5 months to see any development on this subject oh well. I'm vaguely interested since it has new cards in it and new legends are always cool.

That's kind of a weird choice of art forOHMYGODTHEY'REOUTSIDETHEWINDOW
Hook releases in Oct of 2012, Planechase2 releases June of 2012.The chances of seeing it are extremly low.
The reason we got Murasa was because Planechase1 released in Sept '09 with Zen released Oct '09.
They dont give spoilers for expansions six months ahead. We saw what happened last time info got leaked extremely early.
I think they could easily put just a planar card for in there. The Zendikar planar cards didn't really give us enough information other than the name of the plane. Usually we get that in advance when they trademark names.
PCH had actual ZEN card previews, but a planar card is not much more information than what they give when they announce a set, set name and a piece of art.
Without an official answer right now, I would say that when a Phenomena is revealed, have its effect happen, put it on the bottom, then deal out the plane in the spot where it would have gone. So you could get a cascade (cwutidid?) of Phenomena, then a Plane of your choice!
I was thinking they could be used when hell-jumping, since that is more chaotic by choice, but that could work. I definitely want to see what other effects there will be.
As long as they make at least 3 new Ninja creatures, I will be happy. Plus, that will make a Ninja deck actually playable, seeing that there is only a few good Ninja as it is.
And on another note, imagine how awesome the other legendary creatures could be, seeing that they'll have to play up to that Maelstrom Elemental's strength.
Those crafty buggers. If it hadn't been just new Planechase cards, I would have simply said "no care ever," and been done with it.
But NOOOO, they HAD to include new EDH cards as well, changing my mindset from mild indifference to OMG GOTTA BUY EM ALL!!
Damn them all to hell!
Lucky for you there is me (as an archetpye) that wants the planes, maybe 3-4 cards from the decks, and has no interest in the decks themselves. I look forward to buying the planes separately from you (as an archetype) and picking up the singles from the locals. There will be demand for both parts of the product and it won't be the same people wanting the same half.
Blue-Black Legendary Ninja creature (a commander for a Ninja-themed commander deck)? I've been designing fantasy cards to fill this role for years. FINALLY! THANK YOU WOTC!
What do y'all think the colors for the decks will be? The Maelstrom Wanderer being part of a "cycle of Legendary Creatures" seems to indicate wedge decks, but I find that difficult to believe so soon after the Commander release. I'm thinking so far that Chaos Reigns will be 5-color, Night of the Ninja will be UB, and Primordial Hunger will be either Naya, Jund, BG, or RG. Not sure about Savage Auras, though, but I think it's safe to assume that it will have White and/or Green, perhaps Red as well. Course, this gives Green a relatively large distribution across the decks. Thoughts?

Someday, I will own all of the dragons. All of them. 43/111, approximately 39% complete. Over a third done.

I'm thinking that since there is only four decks, we won't see wedges, and instead, just a bunch of different color pairs that work well with the deck theme, seeing as that was how the last planechase was.
I'm thinking Chaos Reigns will be RUG (as white and black don't make me think too much of chaos and chaos type effects). Night of the Ninja as UB as those are the only colors of Ninjas thus far. Primordial Hunger may have some Devour or something in it so definitely Green, maybe Black or Blue. Savage Auras seems like it would be WG maybe RW but definitely some White.
It really doesn't look like there's going to be any Mono Colored decks. The first PC had a mono black deck but they're flexible enough that there aren't really set rules for PC decks.
Night of the Ninja- :symu::symb:. Again, no doubt.
Primordial Hunger- Definitely will have :symr::symg:, might branch out into or :symb:.
Savage Auras- 99% sure will have :symw:, maybe and/or :symg:?
Rivin
EDIT: I'm also happy since Maelstrom Wanderer will be a deck, that means Bloodbraid Elf will have at least 1 copy (Probably 2, hoping for 3) in the deck. My Riku deck will love that so much.
This. I like his style, but his grixis-themed subject matter has always been pretty gross
It is supposed to be disturbing, as Grixis is not a very pleasant place for either outsiders or even its native inhabitants. Plus, many black cards have gross or disturbing artwork, such as macabre waltz or the original artwork of mutilate, as black is the color of death, decay, and horror.

Yep, this is how my group plays. We shuffle all of the planes into one big pile, grab a bunch of preconstructed decks, choose between the decks randomly, sometimes divide into teams, and play it out. This style of planechase and EDH are the two best casual Magic formats I've played personally.
New legendary creatures? I plan to get this just for new commanders, never bothered actually playing planechase.
You're missing out then. It's a lot of fun with commander. Don't do it with the typical rules though. I suggest what people above me have... either 1 giant shared planechase deck or the eternities map variant.
Planechase is a great addition to EDH games, especially if you want to add a random element to play. In our playgroup it can "balance" combo Decks and give some of the "weaker" budget EDH decks a chance to win. Recently I introduced the eternal Map to them but they didn't like it, a huge pile was prefered.
I will have them all. As RUG is my favorite wedge, and I love cascade and big creatures and Animar, I just squealed a bit.
I also hope against hope that there will be a new GU legendary creature in the mix, something jungle-esque in flavor. If it's aura-based (Savage Auras? Hmmm?), I will crap myself with glee.
Also, GU currently only has 3 legendary creatures to choose from, the fewest of all the color combos (save 4-color of course). That is reason enough to include a new GU legend - YOU HEAR ME WIZARDS?
I will be spending money on this either way.
