My assumption is that the gates, shocks, and the mythic are all printed on their own sheet, so that the gates don't eat up 10 slots of the main part of Dragon's Maze. If I'm correct, the set will be 10 cards larger than regular small sets, just like INN and DKA had extra cards due to how dual-faced cards were printed and placed into packs.
I wouldn't be surprised if it was a Gate and it said 10 other gates. It might have to be a Legendary Land for that though. This way it can be searched by Gatecreeper Vine and interact with such things but won't count towards its count.

A separate sheet would be a logical way to handle the nonbasic land slot.

Awww. And here I was hoping for a build-your-own-shockland: one that let's you chose the colours it gives
So you wanted a nearly strictly better then every shockland ever shockland?
Do you realize how expensive that card would become bro? Every deck on the planet that ran more then two colors would play 4x copies if the card was legal in their format.

Dragon's Maze is 156 cards. That's the standard small-set size of 145, plus the 10 reprinted gates, plus the 1 extra mythic land.

How about "You may discard your hand, pay 5 life, rip this card, remove 3 digits from any number of target fingers you control, and concede at the end of the next end step rather than pay It Will Go Through!!'s mana cost.

second, would they commission new art and use different set symbol? doesnt seem necessary. they dont do that for basics.
Art, no. Set symbol, yes:
7.3 Card Use in Limited Tournaments... Other than basic land, only cards from the expansions of the boosters opened (and only cards opened in that player’s pool) may be used in a player’s deck. For example, in a Magic 2013 Sealed Deck tournament, any card in a booster other then the Magic 2013 game cards received by the player and basic land may not be used in a player’s deck during that tournament. ...
"A rich man thinks all other people are rich, and an intelligent man thinks all other people are similarly gifted. Both are always terribly shocked when they discover the truth of the world. You, my dear brother, are a pious man." - Strahd von Zarovich
They could fix the fetching aspect of gates if they made an enchantment or artifact with the following text: "Gate cards in your library are their corresponding colored basic lands in addition to being gates."
My card design language isn't great, but you get the point. Current ramp like Farseek and Ranger's Path wouldn't need to be recreated into meaningless "gate ramp" type cards.
So far, if this is all the land does, I am not impressed. It has got to have another ability of generating more lands, or gates, into play. It will have something else to it. It is just a matter of time of waiting to see the final card text.
The name of this land is probably the titular Dragon's Maze? Niv-Mizzet's using the power of the gates for... profit?
If there is, in fact, a mythic land that requires having 10 gates in play there is just no way in hell that it isn't Dragon's Maze (or some variation of that name; it's basically impossible that it's not the Maze that Niv-Mizzet has been looking for).
Yes! One more win card in Battle of Wits Pillow Fort!

Not sure if it was mentioned before, but without any gates in DGM, why are they printing it? I mean you could say Eye of Ugin but idk, maybe there are more gates coming?
Except each pack could also contain Shocklands, which are not part of DGM. so you can crack a Shockland and not be able to play it, in DDD. So why make an exception for Gates and not Shocklands?

The gates are being reprinted in DGM. They replace the basic land in each booster pack.

It's worth noting that DDD isn't a real format. Drafting three packs of a small set never has been nor ever will be an actual draft format, and design will not cater to the whims of people who want to insist otherwise.
Yes, I realize that MTGO lets you draft triple of a small set during the release, but they are universally terrible to play and only exist to make WotC money and get more cards into circulation online.

I don't think they will include the gates as cards of the set in such a small set.
If they have the Dragon's Maze set symbol, personally, I'm counting them as Dragon's Maze cards.
Only time will tell :). i for one find it rather silly to rely on the gates when you can't even fetch them easily.
They haven't said anything about new art, but according to Monty Ashley, they will have the Dragon's Maze expansion symbol.
Fair enough.
A separate sheet would be a logical way to handle the nonbasic land slot.
Dragon's Maze was officially announced as having 156 cards (very close to 158, the number of cards in Dark Ascension).
1.) Closest we have are Snow-Covered Land which, of course, are still technically basic. But they were in Ice Age and in Coldsnap.
2.) They do it for basics in blocks with two sets of basics (Lorwyn/Shadowmoor; Zendikar/Eldrazi).

Legendary?
Presumably legendary, at least. Wouldn't be as mythic feeling without being legendary
It's pretty much better than the ABUR duals
It would only cost $100+ as a single... I don't see any problems here.
