I guess better this way than to make a finalists list of a bunch of bad cards.
They said a few weeks which is 3 weeks. It has been 2 so far. I don't think they are taking their sweet time, but are still under the estimated allotment of time they told the community. Yes, you're correct that they need time in order to make it through the thousands of submissions THEN they need to play test with their top submissions to see if they play out as they think they will. After they playtest they will take the top few submissions and have a finalized list for people to vote on. That is in no way a quick task.
Do we know when this card will come out? Like, I know we have a few weeks to vote on a few other things, but do we have an idea of what set this will be in?
Nope. I believe the earliest set the card could be in is Journey into Nyx, but M15 or the Fall expansion after that are possible, too. They definitely do have a set in mind already, and the only thing we know about it is that it has no open multicolor slots (meaning it might have multicolor cards, but if so, they are reserved for other things, and likely doesn't have any in the first place).
Yeah. That's what I assumed. I figured it could be in the Theros block somewhere because of the fact that there are a lot of enchantments in Ravnica, which makes Theros, to me, seem like an 'enchantments matter' block. And it would be a great time to place a strong black enchantment into standard. But these are all my speculation and I could be totally wrong.

But don't forget they had this slot picked out from before they started the YMTC, which means it was before we had a card type. If Theros has an enchantments matter theme, it's not relevant to YMTC.

It'd give you Yawgmoth's Will, the strongest card ever printed... into an enchantment that could be used multiple turns in a row...
Hmm, Legacy - banned; Vintage/Classic - restricted...
yep, I may be better off keeping it in it's 'weaker' form and adding the same exile clause:

When ~ enters the battlefield discard your hand.
If a card would be placed into the graveyard from anywhere besides your hand or library, exile it instead.
You may CAST cards from your graveyard as if they were in your hand.
Fixed to also prevent Lotus Petal/Black Lotus shenanigans. The word Cast will lock your lands in so it doesn't enable additional lands to be played from your graveyard (Crucible of Worlds already exists )
aw, I can't believe I missed this, mine would have been:
Fog of the Void 2BBB
legendary enchantment
Other artifacts and enchantments in play have no rules text.
Id play it.....
So the colour that's supposed to have a hard time dealing with artifacts and enchantments gets an enchantment that completely neutralizes artifacts and enchantments?
Don't worry about missing it, I don't think yours would have gotten to the voting stages.

well, at least it's different... there's only so much we can do in color. most of the suggestions are variations of other existing cards. my card doesn't destroy other artifacts and enchantments, it just blanks them until the fog is gone. artifact creatures could still attack.... maybe it needs a cumulative upkeep of paying life to balance it though. And maybe I'm just letting my hatred of playing black against leylines cloud my judgement
Hope we get some interesting abilities. I tried going for a safe graveyard protection/card advantage engine to save graveyard shenanigans in EDH from relic, crypt, and other exilers. No e-mail, so this was mine.
Grave Recall
If a card would be exiled from your graveyard, put it on the bottom of your library instead.
Whenever a card is put on the bottom of your graveyard, you may pay 1 life and draw a card.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Doesn't seem too busted. It could lead to big draws (with big life payments) and could be made into an engine with the right cards, without doing anything by itself.
I thought about adding something that exiled your graveyard when it left play but it already had a lot of words.
I made it because graveyard strategies always get hosed by exile effects. Plus, this card comes with a heavy cost. You could lose a lot of life with this card. Endless blinking won't be free.
Sacrifice a creature: Each player loses 1 life. Put a Rot counter on
Curse of the Rotting Woods.
1BB: Curse of the Rotting Woods becomes an X/X black Treefolk Zombie
creature with swampwalk until end of turn, where X is the number of Rot
counters on it. It's still an enchantment.
I've argued with people over the number of cards in a deck many times, and I feel that having a high number of "good cards" is better than having a small number of "really good" cards. I laugh at the people who argue that with a smaller deck you're more likely to draw what you need, because if you get in that situation you're gonna NOT end up drawing it many many more times than you would.

Good point. I didn't think of that.

Wrong color. This is clearly white.
Thanks for spiderboy4 of High~Light_Studios for the kick ass avatar.
Thanks for DarkNightCavalier of HotPS for the exceptional signature.

Dawn of the Dead 1BB
Whenever a nontoken creature dies, its controller instead exiles it and puts a 1/1 black Skeleton creature token into play.
