A few that I tried out. Tried to steer away from the standard life for draw engines, but I ended up with one I think is decent. No mana costs.
Unliving Hatred
X: Return target creature card from your graveyard to the battlefield, where X is equal to 5 minus the number of black mana symbols in its mana cost. If you do, exile all other creatures put onto the battlefield with Unliving Hatred.
Manufactured Mire
At the beginning of your upkeep, put a filth counter on Manufactured Mire.
BB: Target Swamp becomes a horror creature with power and toughness equal to the number of filth counters on Manufactured Mire until the beginning of the next end step. It’s still a land. Activate this ability only once per turn.
Soul Capsule
At the beginning of your upkeep, you may pay BB. If you do, gain 3 life and draw a card. If you don't, sacrifice Soul Capsule.
When Soul Capsule is put into a graveyard from the battlefield, you lose 20 life.
Exploit 2B
At the beginning of each end step, sacrifice Exploit if you control no creatures.
Pay 2 life, tap an untapped creature you control: Draw a card.
Sacrifice a creature: Draw a card, then target opponent discards a card.

Cheeseburger, french fries, chocolate shake, somebody's mind I's about to take!
I think it's great that so many people are submitting cards that will be absolutely broken in half if they were printed at any reasonable mana cost (4 mana or less)
you might want to think things through guys.... you only get one submission, so try to get it right
Mine is called Gambler's Den
2BB
At the beginning of your upkeep roll a six sided die. Draw cards equal to the result and lose that much life.
Probably not constructed viable at all, but seems fun in EDH.
Long time lurker, posting my submission, here goes:
Reconstitution of Matter BBB
Exile two permanents you control: Return a permanent from your graveyard to your side of the battlefield.
I found it simple yet very effective in my mind and it is left open for many ways of use and is still simple.
That seems pretty broken being just generic permanents - it turns Lingering Souls into a double Obzedat's Aid for the same price, and the reanimation can happen at instant speed. Token strategies will break this card to no end, I know my Teysa deck would eat it up. Maybe to crank it down just a bit, make it non-token permanents?
EDIT: Oh god, the idea of (Pick any two: Teysa + Darkest Hour, Requiem Angel, Ogre Slumlord) + this enchantment = infinite instant reanimation of all your creatures. Sure, several card combo, but man, that's just gross, especially if you pair it with Blasting Station or other sac outlet ridiculousness. I would slam this card in Teysa, but I definitely think it's broken.
My submission was based around a few observations:
1: I wanted it to be a win condition. you see very few of those, even though black spellcasters should probably be able to win through powerful black magic curses and hexes, right?
2: It didn't need to be complicated.
3: Top-down.
I settled on the concept of supernaturally causing the rapid decay of your opponent.
At the beginning of your end step, each opponent pays (BB) or loses 2 life.
I left the mana cost and name up for debate and felt it was at the very least, a good start for creating a card.
At the beginning of each player's upkeep, each player loses 2 life.
1B: Target creature you control gains lifelink and deathtouch. Sacrifice it at end of turn. Activate this ability only any time you could cast a sorcery.
Just felt like offering some feedback here. This card gets insane instantly in multiplayer and makes you the only target. It would be better if it wasn't sorcery-speed and axed the lifelink. then you have the ability to chump block like a pro, and the card actually requires a second card in order to form a combo.
When you create cards, don't make the card combo with itself. Let it interact with other cards to do good, and you actually make it more desirable.
EDIT: Oh god, the idea of Teysa + Darkest Hour + Requiem Angel + this enchantment = infinite instant reanimation of all your (non-Spirit, non Teysa) creatures. Sure, four card combo, but man, that's just gross, especially if you pair it with Blasting Station or other sac outlet ridiculousness. I would slam this card in Teysa, but I definitely think it's broken.
That was actually one reason i liked it was because it has the potential to be used simply or in a combo of some kind, i feel like this is a good idea to throw in due to the vast amount of options it gives the user. though the cost could be a little higher now that i think of it...
When Æther Hex comes into play, remove all counters from all permanents. Put that many counters on Æther Hex.
Remove X counters from Æther Hex: Put a creature with converted mana cost X from a graveyard into play.
At the end of your turn, if Æther Hex has no counters on it, return it to hand.
I had to throw proper templating out the window in order to make it fit, and that activated ability should probably have a mana cost attached to it, but whatevs. What I'm really worried about is that it might have to cost a lot of mana, since it's basically a repeatable Æther Snap.
---------------
Discard two cards: Each opponent discards a card.
Sacrifice two creatures: Each opponent sacrifices one creature.
Pay two life: Each opponent loses one life.
Activate only when you could cast a sorcery.
Could also have any combination of permanent types on it in the same vein.
------------
I really like this idea and I think it is cool.
Here is my idea. I haven't submitted it yet. I wanted to get feedback first. Maybe fine-tune some costs? What do you think of this?
-----------------------------
Whenever a creature you control dies, you may return it to the battlefield under its owner's control. If you do, that creature loses all abilities and becomes a Swamp. BBBBBB: Search your library for a card and put that card into your hand. Then shuffle your library.

I'll add to the "WTF! USA and Canada only?!" chorus. There are undoubtedly a number of perfectly logical (and probably legal and/or logistical) reasons for this decision, but it still feels like I'm being screwed over. The most awesome part of the YMTC design process, but the rest of the world isn't invited.

Is it their honestly their opinion that only US & Canadian Citizins have the right to submit an card idea? They let that look like it's kind of an democratic thing... and then they **** it up like this?
I can't believe it. Is no one angry about this?
Advertising something as democratic and community oriented and then having 2nd class community members is such a dick move.
I think its because its just a normal Enchantment, not a World Enchantment.
Demon Altar
Sac a nontoken or nondemon creature: put a blood counter on ~this~ and add black mana to your mana pool equal to number of blood counters on this.
2BBB, remove a blood counter from ~this~: put a 5/5 demon creature with flying onto battlefield.

Barren Season

If an effect would put one or more tokens onto the battlefield, it puts no tokens onto the battlefield instead. If an effect would put one or more counters onto a permanent, put no counters on that permanent instead.
----------------------------------------
Its like Doubling Season...but opposite. Cool because its an awesome hoser, but also because it can be a sick enabler if you build around it. Definitely could be playable in every format from EDH to Legacy to casual depending on how aggressively WotC would be willing to cost it. Might even be a limited and block/standard bomb if WotC would print synergies around it.
Especially fun with the Hunted cycle, the hatchling cycle, and Forbidden Orchard. Especially Spikey with Persist or Undying and against Planeswalkers, Batterskulls, Jitte, Lingering Souls, etc. Maybe I just think it would be hilarious for a 'hunted' casual deck to win a Legacy open.
Forbidden Knowledge
Enchantment
Whenever you draw a card, target creature gets -1/-1 until EOT.
Whenever a creature targeted by ~ dies this turn, you draw a card.
I don't live in the US or Canada, so no chance of this seeing print. Here's my card:
Sour Grapes
B: Exchange control of Sour Grapes and target permanent unless an opponent exiles the top card of his or her library. If a player does, exile the top card of your library.
Sacrifice Sour Grapes: Put all permanent cards exiled by Sour Grapes that you don’t own onto the battlefield under your control.
Name is from The Fox and the Sour Grapes. "If I can't have that, I didn't want it anyway".
It's supposed to be a bit of a riff on Timmerian Fiends / ante in general.
I think it would be nice if people mentioned their favourite design from the thread when posting new designs. Otherwise, I don't think many people will get feedback. My favourite card design so far would be Black Hole. It plays into suicide black strategies quite well.
