If it's Kiora, like many believe, then the mythic layout for the next two sets can be guessed at. At least with more education than normal. The only way it changes is if they do the Minor Gods in cycles not built on their Allied/Enemy color layout (which is possible).
Born into Gods
5 Allied Gods
1 Monocolor
4 Kiora + Enemy Color Mythics (WR, UR, BG)
Journey into Nyx
5 Enemy Gods
4 Monocolor
1 Allied Color Planeswalker which everyone expects to be a giant kitty whose name rhymes with jijani.
This means that by the end of the set we have:
15 Gods (5, 5, 5)
10 Monocolor Non-Gods (5, 1, 4)
10 Two Color Non-Gods (5, 4, 1)
I don't think this is likely, since I don't think the GR mythic will be a minor god in BNG. We just had Xenegos in the last set, and he is likely to become the minor god for GR.
Also, since we will get 5 gods in BNG, there will be 5 non-God mythics, of which there are very likely to be 2 or 3 walkers. That leaves 2 or 3 color combinations which will not get a walker nor a god. I believe GR is one of those combinations.
Here is my prediction:
W/R -> God (God for Aggro, we've seen art that looks very much like the W/R god)
R/B -> God (God for Aggro, art that looks like it, plus a Minotaur God would also boost the desire for people to play the 'For the Horde' deck)
U/B -> God (God for Control, probably not walker as Ashiok was B/U)
U/R -> God (God for Combo/Johnny players, saving the G/U Johnny God for JIN)
B/G -> God (God for Midrange. Might be reanimation based to please that playerbase as it isn't strong in Theros/Rav block)
W/G -> Ajani (Planeswalker)
U/G -> Kiora Tora (Planeswalker)
R/G -> Normal Mythic (just had a G/R walker and highly likely Xenegos will become the R/G god and they would probably want to save it for the last set)
W/U & W/B -> normal Mythics (recent article had the Future Future League decks and they showed WotC knew about Mono U devotion, Mono B devotion and Esper Control decks being good. No need for extra gods in these colors yet. Not giving these 2 combinations uber mythics will shift the metagame a bit, which is good. And allows for some shifting again with JIN)
Yes, the color combinations are not balanced as in every color doesn't have 2 gods or something, but I do think this provides for a balanced draft environment (they said that they did the same for RTR and GTC; balanced the number of Aggro, Control and Midrange to provide a good environment) and would fit with the Planeswalker rumors & story.
Then again, this is just an attempt at educated guesses...

This may depend a bit on Xenagos. If he becomes the R/G god, then I image we won't see him until the 3rd set.
Which would mean either all enemy gods or just 1 enemy god in Born into Gods.
IF it is indeed a hint at Kiora in BNG, then that means we can rule out the UG god. They wouldn't give UG two mythics in one set.
Yup, and this is great as far as I'm concerned-
As-is, Kiora will arrive to a standard where she probably won't have a home yet,
as almost all of the competitive Standard decks use Gods.
Without Kruphix, Kiora's power may be limited enough to keep her reasonably affordable until he arrives.
We can see how this plays out with Karametra (who will also be in BNG if Kiora is) into Ajani.
Furthermore, this would probably mean Athreos and Ephara will be in JIN,
and Keranos and Phenax will be in BNG.

Then again, this is just an attempt at educated guesses...
Fact (confirmed by MaRo): There will be 10 Minor Gods.
Fact (confirmed by MaRo, and Mothership, and everything really): Five Gods in each set of the block.
Fact (confirmed by Theros): We have a set of four Allied Non-Gods, and Ashen Rider, which breaks a color cycle without a lore related reasoning.
Speculation (from Salvation Oracle): GW, WU, and BR Scrylands are being printed in Born.
Fact (confirmed by MaRo): all MtG sets have (at least) one Plainswalker.
Speculation (from Salvation Oracle): Kiora will be in Born.
Speculation (from popular opinion): Kiora will be GU.
Speculation (from all the whining playerbases give on the subject): They will not double up on any two color pair's mythic options in a set unless they do it for everyone. So a GW God and a GW non-God mythic won't exist together.
Now, there are other possible end results, but that is the most likely. It's true they might not aim for a full color parity across the block, as Wizards has stated across the board that is never an aim (except in Ravnica/Alara/Blocks built on a form of color parity), but at the same time people whine a lot when Wizards fails to hit Color Parity, so they aim to please the playerbase by hitting it when they can (all Dual Land Cycles are now 10 cards for that very reason).
If they picked to fill out the Allied Color Scrys first, I'd see them printing the allied color Gods first. And yes, that would mean Xenagos will become a God in Set 2. You are looking at this set from a Bottom Up design mindset (God of Aggro, God of Midrange) when this is a Top Down set, that means the Gods will match the worldbuild Wizards has made, regardless of how the effects play out in the meta.
Admittedly I am working from a lot of speculation that has yet to be proven, but from the evidence on hand this is the result I reach.
There are almost certainly two multi-color Mythic Rare cycles in this block. One is the 10 gods, the other is very likely a set of 10 Mythics. Ashen Rider's presence in set 1 tells us that the "G/W" (Ajani) member of that cycle was being saved for later in the block. Xenagos and Ashiok are part of that cycle. If Kiora/Ajani are indeed also part of it, then we have 3 non-PW Mythics left in the block. (W/R, R/U, and G/B)
More on lore Kiora---and how awesome a character she is---for the uninitiated:
"Kiora venerates the huge monsters of the sea, such as the leviathans, the krakens and other denizens of the inky depths. For her these creatures embody the ability to withstand any persistent force: time, water, predation and darkness. She seems calm and wise, but her dreams are as bizarre and alien as the depths from which her creatures rise."
One of my most beloved EDH decks is a "Braids, Kiora Style" Krakens/Leviathans/etc deck, and its just a ton of fun, so bring on the master of monsters! (Might have to find a new G/U general, though xD)

Has there ever been more than one Planeswalker in a small set? I was kind of under the impression that Ajani would be the 'walker in Born of the Gods because of his art being spoiled. Are they really just going to tease him that far before he gets a card printed in the set (in Journey Into Nyx)? Or are they going to do two Planeswalkers (Kiora and Ajani) in Born of the Gods, and then another one in Journey Into Nyx?
The Zendikar Block had six Planeswalkers in it, so it wouldn't be that strange for the Theros Block to have six in it also. Except for the fact that Zendikar was Large-Small-Large, whereas Theros is Large-Small-Small.

Ajani was on the poster for Journey into Nix, not Born. The only reason everyone assumes him for Born is that Second Set has a returning Walker (so far). Everyone also thinks Xenagos won't become a God until Journey to Nix, when the Born of the Gods art shows him as a God already.

Wizards print good rares, players complain about cash grab. They print underwhelming rares, players complain that the cards suck. They spoil the best cards first, players complain about the insane prices of preorders. They spoil the meh cards first, players complain that this is the worst set ever.
So. I think I understand now.
As far as these forums are concerned, WotC can never do anything good because:
Card that is new and probably good = "pushed"
Card that is new and probably bad = "EDH/casual fodder"
Card that is a reprint = "lazy"
Card that is a better version of an older card = "power creep"
Card that is a weaker version of an older card = "worthless"
Am I the only one whose first thought was actually that this might be the Merfolk tribal card someone said was in a while ago?
