okk.. I thought that by ''modern enchantress'' you mean the Boggle deck. By curiosity, what deck were you refering to? (that could use Eidolon of Blossoms)
My mistake at not clarifying. The current Modern Enchantress deck relies on auras. I was hoping that a non-aura Enchantress deck could make some appearance in Modern.

It would have really helped out zombies (in modern) to have another 1 drop, and that things looks dead.
Are you implying that a flesh wound is enough to kill a Minotaur? The only reason this can't block is because its only free hand is busy crushing some poor bastards skull.

I fear I won't have much time to play Magic these days.
I get to watch worlds develop around me.
I get to watch great leaders, terrible oppressors, and trend setters rise and fall.
Limited, Standard, Modern, everything is a different playing field I feel I can observe, but will not actually touch.
I look forward to the stories I will hear.
And more so to the ones I will watch unfold first hand.
Isn't the unknown exciting?
Edit- Spiny Starfish has been erratted so that it puts out 0/1 starfish tokens! Woo baby! Throw in some Adaptive Automatons and now we're talkin' bidness!

The power level of the dakra seems off the charts. Everything else is a hilarious race to power shrivel
I don't get this.
Think for a moment, if the merfolk was simply a T: Everyone draws a card, wouldn't it already be powerful? That would put it powerlevel wise on rough par with howling mine or mikokoru. Less efficient, but comes down a turn earlier and gives you a blocker when needed, and unlike those other two, its controllable, and its not giving your opponent first pick, so its akin to temple bell, all that on a one-drop.
And because of the card selection clause, its much, much better than that. Undervaluing the fateseal mechanic is how JTMS slipped under the radar (at least, not fully grasping his power). Then again, its to fateseal more what deck thinning is to card selection, so not quite *that* dramatic. This little bugger seems will be anywhere from strong showing in multiple formats to just broken. That, or control will be so underpowered going into rotation that this merfolk doesn't see play in standard because the deck archetype vanished and she just barely ekes her way into modern/etc where being busted is just hitting par.

It's going to be banned in modern 1 year from now. Calling it. It's DRS good and it's an uncommon.

The only thing worse than underestimating a card is a bunch of people overestimating it.
you have always need atleast 8 enchantress in a deck for it to do things. at 4 mana, as much as id like to see a return of enchantress, thats just to much mana. mesa and verduran were barely playable.

msun: Knives scoop ice cream.
Highroller: No they don't, knives don't scoop. Spoons scoop.
msun: Well, knives SHOULD scoop icecream.
Highroller: We have spoons that do it. Moreover, the shape of a knife that would scoop ice cream would make it horrible for performing the functions of a knife.
msun: Highroller, you bring up spoons as though they were the utensil used for scooping ice cream.
Sorry, but what does the Cyclops of Eternal Fury do that isn't covered elsewhere? A 5/4 for 6 CMC giving haste? Ogre Battledriver gives haste, and +2/0 for 2RR. Odd one...

Other than the fact that its an "enchantment creature"? Not much sadly.

Well it dies to Eye Gouge. That has to account for something.
Ajani's Presence will see constructed play. It's usually better than Gods Willing, with tremendous upside thanks to the multikicker. I can already envision losing to it when I cast Supreme Verdict.
because for 2ww you get to protect two creatures, give them +1/+1 until end of turn and if you built your deck around it TWO HEROIC TRIGGERS
Right, I totally forgot about all the heroic decks tearing up the Top 8 of Standard.... ornot. There are already six multi-heroic enablers in Standard currently and a heroic deck has yet to emerge outside of Limited. The risk of being blown out by mass card disadvantage and tempo loss is too great to consider heroic anywhere but Limited. Ajani's Presence being yet another card that can expensively give two heroic triggers isn't going to change that obvious tactical weakness for competitive play.

Not a big fan of the cyclops, but note that it has haste itself on the battlefield, something the battledriver doesn't do.

Turn 1 : swamp + 2/1 dude for b( 2 cards)
Turn 2 : swamp + 2 2/1 dudes . Attack (2 damage) ( 5 cards)
Turn 3 : swamp + hall . Attack ( 9 damage) (7 cards)
Turn 4 : attack (20damage)
.....
Maybe could splash w for the +2/+0 buff
Play erebos against eventual wux decks as well as imortal servitude
If atheros is like a blood artist the deck will be soo fun

Storm Crow is strictly worse than Seacoast Drake.

Hell, I'll splash blue for the starfish. Not quite the re-print of Spiny Starfish I wanted though...

It's actually just a 5/3.
