You know, while there's nothing worth getting worked up over, I'm really liking these cards. There's a good deal of overlap between some of these cards and others in standard, but I feel like now they're finally in the right combinations to allow for some interesting and/or long overdue decks to be viable.
lol we got a 1 cmc minotaur , a black wrath that dont get enchantments, a 3 mana artfact athem effect for mono colour , a 1 cmc that protect some of your dudes, and a green enchantress with ETB:draw a card .....
those are really good cards for standard and limited...
People you are soo spoiled.
Crossing my fingers for a 1-2 CMC Enchantment Creature mana dork, or plain old creatureless mana ramp. Imagine playing BG, you have a Courser of Kruphix or Herald of Torment or Eidolon of Blossoms, and you get to ramp to T4 or T5 Extinguish All Hope.
The first thing you should be thinking when seeing Extinguish All Hope isn't "overcosted boardwipe", but "one-sided board wipe with enchantment creatures". Yes, 6 CMC won't suit most players' purposes, but it has a niche. (Not necessarily in Standard.)
Also, it has good art.

I'm disappointed to see Monstrosity back, but at least Constellation seems interesting.
EDIT: Also, it looks like we're definitely not getting a Damnation reprint this block, then...

How dare people want cards for formats other than Standard and Limited.
Hall of Triumph is sick. Every color gets Honor of the Pure now, at the cost of a colorless Glorious Anthem. That's some serious tech for all the monocolored aggro decks running around.

It's better than Tribute.
That's not saying much.
As those 2 were the options, I think that it says enough.

I could see this as a one-sided board wipe IF black was given enough good enchantment creatures, when in fact it has some of the worst. So no this is not a one-sided board wipe for black, this is a middle-finger to black. I mean really, it couldn't have costed 5?
Wow, these mechanics suck. I mean, I'm sure they'll result in some good cards, but talk about a lack of imagination. Strive is the only interesting one, and even it is just a mechanic from an older card put on new cards.
Dakra Mystic is neat. I'm a big fan of symmetrical effects, and this has the added bonus of not being the same every time you activate her ability.

1. Eidolon of Blossoms is just awesome sauce. Card advantage is good, and it's in a color that *really* could use some. Thank god Rancor is out. Also, going in my Possibility Storm deck, as it combos so well with Mana Bloom.
2. Gnarled Scarhide might be the last 2-power 1-drop that a Mono-B aggro deck needs to actually do well consistently. Considering it's low bestow, it's all upside. 12 2 power 1 drops is very good temptation, and there are a good amount of options available.
3. I like Satyr Hoplite. Good in limited mayhaps, where a turn 1 Hoplite into turn 2 Ordeal gives you 3 power on turn 2. In constructed, could do work in some AIR lists, particularly with Titan's Strength and Madcap skills.
4. Hall of Triumph. Giving all colors access to a Spear of Heliod really is a funny thing to do to white. It will see play in most, if not all, Aggro decks immediately.
5. Dakra Mystic. 1-mana Blue 1/1 with a card draw ability. I wonder what deck could use this.
6. Ajani's Presence. Will possibly see play in WW, although one has to wonder how much better this is over their other options.
The rest seems pretty good for limited mostly.
All-in-all, I'd sa this is a good start. It's looking like Journey might push things back a little harder than Born did.
From a design POV, I really like Extinguish All Hope. By playing up black's trouble in dealing with enchantments, they created a truly black board wipe that doesn't just feel like a timeshifted Wrath. It's also an immediate EDH staple.
But yeah, in any competitive format, it's awful.
The constellation stuff is going to have to get leagues better than Eidolon of Blossoms if it's going to have tournament impact.
The Minotaur 1-drop just confirms how much less exciting aggro is going to be once RtR block rotates. That's not a card I want to play.
I can honestly say, well, first unironically, and then yes, relevantly ironically, this is these are some of the most UNINSPIRED mechanics I've seen for a long time. I'm a Timmy Vorthos, and even I'm underwhelmed by rather...dull and obvious mechanics.
Going to agree.
Strive in particular is a gigantic disappointment. Still not quite as bad as Monstrosity making a comeback though.
In fairness, Strive is probably better than I am giving credit for, but I just absolutely loathe the card we got here for it. Terrible terrible card.

Because black was good enough already.
Storm Crow is strictly worse than Seacoast Drake.

Fated Retribution hit everything and let you scry.
This one doesn't hit everything (which can be fatal) and doesn't let you scry. That alone should make it cost around 4 or 5, imo.

Agree. I'll probably get the card, if for no other reason than to add to my collection of cards with flavor I absolutely love.
Seems like drafting constellation could be a thing, unfortunately enchantment creatures were all pretty awesome to begin with.
Hmmm

That's what worries me most. I like a few of the cards, don't get me wrong, but there should've been a big, flashy, splashy mythic for night 1.
