I hope this turns out better than the attempted resurgence of Monoblue Devotion did.
A Grizzly Bear that has to hit the opponent to fetch a slow piece of equipment? The only use I can really see for Godsend is to take care of Stormbreath Dragon (the exile trigger doesn't actually target, so it dodges the pro-white on SBD). Eh, I think I'll take a pass.
The difference between this deck and Mono-U Devotion is that they have to stuff their deck with really sub-standard cards like Frost Walker to turn on the good cards like Thassa, god of the sea and this deck gets to play an aggressive curve of actual cards. The 'payoff' cards might not be as sexy (nobody is cheering for more Mastery of the Unseen) but the deck as a whole is of a much higher quality.
You also get to play ~8 removal spells in the main, which they don't have.

Fair enough.

True, the white enablers are a lot better than the blue enablers. Still though, Master of Waves, Thassa, and Shorecrasher Elemental are sweet payoffs.

They do have a similar number of counterspells though.
I want to play UW Devotion with this. Blue for Ephara (lol with Mastery) and counters on the side for those pesky board wipes that this deck doesn't like seeing.
aslo for spells we have spear, Hall of Triumph, Acolyte's Reward, Launch the Fleet, Oppressive Rays, Gods Willing, and banishing light until they rotate. Also have access to Valorous Stance and Archangel of Tithes for the midrange matchup. and of cource access to fetch lands. The biggest hurtle for this deck will be anger of the gods and languish. Seige rhino is obnoxious but can be dealt with fairly easily.

I think White Weenie is still gonna be bad, because of all the reasons that its been bad in the current standard. I'd wait till post rotation before seriously trying to develop that archetype. White Devotion's also probably going to be bad, but if there ever was a card to make that deck good its this one.
However, I think that this card should be sweet in a Craig Wescoe-style collected company deck, which is where I'm going to be trying out this card first.
The problem with white devotion is that you don't really have any ludicrous payoff cards. As a 5/5 for 3 that makes your dudes unblock able, Thassa will immediately win the game. Heliod is good when he's on, but not of a truly comparable caliber. Then you just don't have any other cards that care about your devotion except Nykthos, and you don't have any good Nykthos sinks that are independently playable (all this could change with ORI, of course). The multicolor gods are a reasonable way to actually care about devotion -- Ephara is probably the best white one.
Alternatively, you can just play a deck which happens to have a lot of white mana sumbols, but isn't really "devotion." In this case splashing is also attractive, probably for CoCo and the GW command.
Solid. Remember though guys, this isn't so much a card for WW as it is for a more midrange strategy. The deck thin is nice and all for WW, but you would rather the consistency getting your land drops to hit your 4 mana+ spells. It is possible that this and the angel herald white devotion's time in the sun
White Weenie/Devotion (splashing Green for Collected Company and maybe Dromoka's Command) seems like a fun time. Lots of W symbols popping up in ORI...
The problem is that devotion to white doesn't DO anything. White is literally the only color with no decent devotion card except gods, and Heliod is one of the weaker gods. The only thing a ton of devotion allows is Nykthos ramp for Heliod or Mastery of the Unseen. While either of those is quite good with 8+ mana off of Nykthos, they don't compare to stuff like Master of Waves/Thassa, Purphoros/Fanatic of Mogis, Mogis's marauder/Erebos/Grey Merchant. While I think white has by far the best enablers, it doesn't have anything that cares about the devotion. The best thing to do is probably splash, either blue for Ephara/Ojutai or green for Company/command
The thing to keep in mind with white devotion is "what am I gaining by going mono white?". Right now that comes down to Heliod usually active and being able to cast WWW angel. Those are both solid, but do they outweigh the benefits of other colors? What white really needs is an Honor of the Pure reprint, that would give you some payoff. Blue is begging for enablers, white just needs something to care about devotion. Maybe we get a not-really-devotion that is like "do X, based on number of white permanents you control", like how Prowess was in DTK
None of these theory decks have brave the elements, because brave the elements isn't in standard. Therefore none of these decks are going to be competitive.
Turn 2 Knight of the White Orchid. Pass turn. Opponent plays.... Fleecemane Lion. Go? Flip all the Gideons you want, that abzan player can just downfall it and you can't break through the lion. Playing white without green just seems dumb. You're going to want Dromoka's Command with this guy, at least then you can make it a 3/3 and first strike becomes relevant. And why play this guy at sorcery speed when you can just play him at instant speed. On the play, you're at 4 lands, opponent plays a land, you end of turn CoCo into this, grabbing a land and then playing a land on your turn with some sort of strictly better card than anything in your theory decks. Try expanding the ideas beyond just a bunch of 2/1 1 drops and a Heliod.
This guy has no home at the moment. Possibly after rotation we could see a CoCo deck where this guy takes the Fleecemane spot, but even then Deathdealer is going to be better most of the time.
Get off the Hype train everyone, this is just a card. I'm happy to see a reprint that's playable, but this guy isn't breaking open new strategies at the moment.

Don't be so sure. It could (in theory) make mono white devotion viable for the three months before it rotates.

I have no doubt you can put this, and other white casting cost creatures into a deck with Nykthos and/or Heliod and "make" a mono white devotion deck.
But there's zero way to protect any of these vanilla creatures and they are all outclassed by everything currently played in standard. The fundamental aspect to white weeny decks is cards like brave the elements and white anthems. God's Willing will have to do, and Spear of Heliod is just ok. We have no Honor of the Pure, no Brave the Elements and path to exile. There's probably zero reason to play a mono colored deck because your deck is going to just get better with cards like Dromoka's Command, Become Immense, Collected Company etc.
On the play this guy is a 2/2 first strike getting you a plains. Which helps power an early heliod, which is nice indeed, right before it gets abzan charmed. And on the draw this guy is a vanilla 2/2 first striker.
Also has everyone forgot the fact that drown in sorrow is still in the format? You're going to suffer from the same problems that mono red does in games 2 and 3, but you won't have the burn cards to recover.
Black/White warriors is BARELY a deck, and that deck has more synergy with it's creatures. But at least Mogis Marauder can push through damage.
And why has everyone decided to ignore cards like Raise the Alarm, Seeker of the way etc. These cards are just strictly better in most cases. Heck why not go with Triplicate Spirits if you're going to play weenies. At least in those decks it's a pseudo Spectral Procession. And fliers are just better cards.
Why not Wingmate Roc? Everyone wants to go small and white. But they're just ignoring the entire other metagame of standard. I find that annoying to read.

No, it won't. There is no white devotion because the only playable white card with devotion is heliod, and he is not even very good. The only reason to play mono white is to cast spells easier, and splashing Green is just as consistent. If mono white becomes okay, it will be because of Honor of the Pure or something else that rewards playing white, not more playable white creatures. Mono white has plenty of good creatures, great devotion enablers, but nothing to care about devotion.
Also, most of these decks are leaving out Dragon Hunter, which pretty good in this format (better than Soldier of Pantheon imo)
I'd hold that thought
How about this midrange strategy?
2x Launch the Fleet
3x Kytheon
4x Knight of White Orchid
3x Anafenza
3x Brimaz
2x Spear of Heliod
2x Banishing Light
4x Archangel of Tits
2x Kytheon's Irregulars
1x Heliod
3x Wingmate Roc
1x Dictate of Heliod
3x Elspeth
4x Shrine to Nyx
20x Plains

That just hurts, dude.
And now we have the two drops: Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit, Knight of the White Orchid, Seeker of the Way (maybe relic seeker? not very likely but possible)
as well as some sweet 3 drops: Arashin Foremost, Preeminent Captain, Brimaz, King of Oreskos, Eidolon of Countless Battles.
