The only reserved list cards that are truly problematic are the original duals everything else is either banned in legacy or only played in a few specific archetypes, if at all.
Any thought on whether they'll include Mana Drain? Are they going to go deep and reprint cards with $150+ price tags?
I say no. Force of Will will run the lottery just fine in this set. Mana Drain? They can still milk that as a judge foil in the future before using it as a chase mythic in a future set.

Gotta think long term, here, people.
They can't put it in a Standard-legal set except as an expedition or some such. Now might be the time.
I am wondering whether this is the beginning of a new format that Wizards will be able to profit from in the future. The reduction in support for vintage and legacy seems to have been driven by the reserve list so it would seem like a shrewd move to introduce a new format called Eternal. This would consist of all the cards legal in legacy that are not on the reserve list (with perhaps a few extra banned cards for balance), and allow the printing of sets every couple of years to add copies of cards to the available pool. This would also add weight to the grand prix promo version of Stoneforge Mystic (a future Eternal superstar card?)
Isn't this what the kids call "Modern?" Why would they need a format between the old farts in Legacy and the younguns in Modern?
Mishra's Factory has some of the best art ever seen. Would love to see them in the new frame.
If you like Phil and Kaja's stuff... for the love of God don't ever google them and look at the other comics he's published. The Myth Adventures and Buck Godot stuff is fine, but after that you will rapidly fall off a cliff into very questionable content...

They don't have to. Like I said, think long-term. Why blow ALL of your pent-up demand in a single set, when you could have a second Eternal Masters in 3 - 5 years and get more?

If they do this, they should reprint Mana Drain and not ban it. Would the resulting format be a mess? Probably, but come on, Mana Drain deserves some more time in the sun. In fact, initially they should just not ban anything and see what happens.
I understand the chain of logic (making some cards accessible -> increased player base -> increased demand -> increased prices for non-reprints) but I can't think of a better way to give truth to the idea that players will complain about ANYTHING than the sentiment that reprints we have all clamored for to save the format will, instead kill it.
It's not an unreasonable assumption that it will be bad for the eternal formats, as that's exactly what happened with the Modern Masters sets and Modern.
....
Indeed, the mere fact that those formats are so much smaller than Modern means that the print run might be large enough to end up with a net positive of cards in circulation, after accounting for increased demand.
Right, like I said, I get the logic. You're all about the Law of Unintended Consequences.
Still, come ON. Do we really want to complain about finally getting reprints we've been asking for forever?
Players: "We want more Rishdan Ports and Wastelands because Legacy is too expensive."
WotC: "Okay, I'll reprint some."
Players: "OMG YOURE KILLING LEGACY"
WotC: "wot"

actually it went like:
players: we want legacy and vintage staples and get rid of the RL so we can finally play eternal!
wotc: ehy yo get this 300 cards set with nothing from a 600 card list which contains 90% of the cards you want to play! you can still have the 10% which you can buy even without the set!
Aside from long needed reprints of money cards, I'm really looking forward to what commons, uncommons and bulk rares will be in this set. There are some cards where I've been waiting for a modern frame reprint for quite some time for my cube, like Carnophage, Waterfront Bouncer, Miscalculation or Opposition.
Honestly, screw legacy and vintage, this lets some Commander players get their more expensive cards for cheaper. You know how awesome Mana Drain would be? And that sweet looking Force of Will already is? And that's just the tip of the iceberg of what they could reprint. Another good example is Ravages of War would be a great reprint.
There's no reason to assume this will be the case. MM2 was readily available for MSRP. That was likely a product of the set quality, but that's a different point.
This is going to be a limited print-run set exclusive to WPN stores. Boxes will be allocated based on the store's WPN level (the same as Modern Masters): 2–3 cases for Core level stores /
3–6 cases for Advanced level stores / 6–12 cases for Advanced Plus level stores.
Each booster will have 1 foil card as in Modern Masters sets.
What I do find intriguing (more like scary) is that WOTC WPN webpage states a MSRP of 25.99$ (!!!).
So which one is a wrong? The announcemnt or WPN website... I'm afraid to know the answer

Doesn't matter; Force of Will lottery alone will move packs. Stores will double MSRP at least. Preorders are useless and won't be fullfilled. All you can do is go to stores reserving packs for drafts or buy singles online. Anything else is a bad deal.
What is the justification for the $10 price tag? Printing these cards costs no more than printing a regular expansion set and this set doesn't even carry the cost burden of development. This is pure greed. How am I even going to draft this set at my local card shops when it will probably end up costing $45 per person?

New plan: every time someone recommends a card on the Reserved List, we all take a shot. We should be pretty well on our way!
Also, Sinkhole and Chain Lightning would be awesome.
Perhaps that's just dreaming lol
Really this will be a set for expensive non modern legal cards. Crucible of Worlds possible but who knows.
Top and half of the Omnitell deck can be printed. Actually quite a few expensive legacy/commander cards out there so this might not be a total flop.

Winding Canyons would be novel. Wirewood Lodge makes sense if they have Elf tribal.
Wait, wow, Winding Canyons is on the Reserved List?! http://mtgsalvation.gamepedia.com/Reserved_List Dafuq?
