Does anyone know what happens if bishop exiles like souless one or other monsters that get powered up by things like forests im guessing it stay 1/1 but unsure
Soulless One has a characteristic defining ability. It functions in all zones. So the exiled creature’s power is calculated (and when relevant, recalculated) exactly as Soulless One says it is.
Abilities that affect power and toughness that aren’t characteristic defining (like Death’s Shadow) don’t function in zones other than the battlefield. An exiled Death’s Shadow is a 13/13. An exiled Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord is a 2/2.
I just thought that since its X/X off field that once exiled it reverts back to x/x but cool if it gets powered up but like would the same happen to creatures powerd by how many of specific land like forests i seen one that does this
Not sure how they differ sorry if im dumb and why wouldnt like death shadow kill the bishop seems very simular to souless one even though dont say +1/+1 counters but other wise pretty close is that the only difference cause one is counters and one isnt even though seems be be same termology to make them stronger one by grave and one by low life total

208.2a The card may have a characteristic-defining ability that sets its power and/or toughness according to some stated condition. (See rule 604.3.) Such an ability is worded “[This creature’s] [power or toughness] is equal to . . .” or “[This creature’s] power and toughness are each equal to . . .” This ability functions everywhere, even outside the game. If the ability needs to use a number that can’t be determined, including inside a calculation, use 0 instead of that number.
Example: Lost Order of Jarkeld has power and toughness each equal to 1+*. It has the abilities “As Lost Order of Jarkeld enters the battlefield, choose an opponent” and “Lost Order of Jarkeld’s power and toughness are each equal to 1 plus the number of creatures the chosen player controls.” While Lost Order of Jarkeld isn’t on the battlefield, there won’t be a chosen player. Its power and toughness will each be equal to 1 plus 0, so it’s 1/1.
“
As for specific lands: Nightmare would still have power equal to the number of Swamps you control, because its power is defined by a characteristic defining ability. An exiled Kavu Scout has power 0, because its ability is NOT a characteristic defining ability and only functions while the creature is on the battlefield. Same story with Death’s Shadow - its ability that reduces its power only functions while it is on the battlefield. At all other times it’s a 1-mana 13/13. Varolz, the Scar-Striped likes this.
Generally speaking, creatures with asterisks in their printed power/toughness have characteristic defining abilities that still function in exile, unless they involved a decision that needed to have been made (like Wood Elemental or Lost Order of Jarkeld). These are an exception to the usual default rule that a creature card’s abilities only function when it is a permanent on the battlefield and not when it is a card in other zones.

Ps: neither Soulless One nor Death’s Shadow use counters.
Hey, that sounds like the kind of design people are asking for.
Finally a good white villain quote: "So, do I ever re-evaluate my life choices? Never, because I know what I'm doing is a righteous cause."
