Yea but there's no way it's not going under the orginal $9 (where it's lowest price was)
Probably $17-$23 is where it's going to sit.
It's mythic and could also could go back to original price it happened with cavern of souls despite the reprint in MM3
EDIT: scratch that it's not going to go back the ORGINAL price just got word (rumor) that masters 25 will get a similar print run to iconic masters and that's being found at Walmart and target.
The realistic "demand" in this card is so low, that theres no way it keeps the high value.
Caverns is a particular bad example, as its a card that has a very real demand in constructed decks (and easily a 4-of in these).
This one here however, is very very specific and putting just a couple thousand more copies in the system kinda "drowns" out all the demand there is for it.
----
Would be very surprised if these stay expensive (foils might still aim high for sure).
If the set contains some other high value cards it will also contribute to tank the value of all the other cards.
None of the value issues would even matter if this company would stop printing sets that are too expensive. For goodness sakes if they need to bring money in to keep the lights on at least spread the cost across the entire line. 130-140 msrp sets for standard will not kill the format and having these sold at the same price would be good for everyone.

1. (Ravnica Allegiance): You can't keep a good esper control deck down... Or Wilderness Reclamation... or Gates...
2. (War of the Spark): Guys, I know what we need! We need a cycle of really idiotic flavor text victory cards! Jace's Triumph...
3. (War of the Spark): Lets make the format with control have even more control!
Sweet. This thing was a house in my casual Mogis deck in the day. 5/5 that makes you sac + Braids + Mogis = good times at table.

The "Crazy One", playing casual magic and occasionally dipping his toes into regular play since 1994.
Currently focusing on Pre-Modern (Mono-Black Discard Control) and Modern (Azorious Control, Temur Rhinos).
Find me at the Wizard's Tower in Ottawa every second Saturday afternoons.

I actually have wanted this card since it's inception since it is pretty brutal. Assuming someone is playing mono-black. Not to mention it feels like an auto include in mono black devotion.

Probably the worst/least played black mythic in a Masters set so far.
I hope it means Mono Black Devotion/Suicide Black is a draft archetype and we get some fun/playable commons and uncommons that actually see play and are hard to get in good condition nowadays like Chainer's Edict, Culling the Weak, the Dauthi, etc.
Chainter's Edict would be great right now with the surge in interest for Pauper, and really just in general with it being ~$7.
The set symbol watermark fits it pretty well.
Getting a Mirran reprint from New Phyrexia set would have been awkward.
What set symbol watermark?
How could you get a Mirran reprint from New Phyrexia set?
Melira, Sylvok Outcast for example. In the original set (New Phyrxia) it had the Mirrodin faction watermark, in this set it would get the New Phyrexia set symbol as its watermark, which coincidentally is nearly identical to the watermark for the Phyrexia faction in new Phyrexia (see, for example, Glistening Oil). That would have been weird.

Hi Ondezeeboot Good to see you here as well.
Well Melira had a Mirran (Not Mirrodin but it derives from the same word) watermark because she was the Mirran ‘cure’ against the Phyrexia.
And yes the New Phyrexia watermark is almost the same as the Phyrexia watermark. I believe they would say the watermark have been ‘perfected’ if you asked them.
I do not understand why any card would receive a wrong watermark or why anything would be awkward. I might misunderstand. Can you explain, please?
I am not entirely sure what confusion there is. We don't know if Melira, Sylvok Outcast is in the set. If she was, she'd have the New Pyhrexia set symbol as the watermark, and not her original "Mirron" one. The watermarks are pretty much irrelevant to gameplay, and add a little bit of either lore, or history of the game is all, similar to flavor text. The only times in recent years that I can recall them being actually used was during Mirrodin Besieged game day I think it was.

so by what im seeing are you saying its going to be like $7-$12 after this (this is a guess of how low you think it might go.)

in that case why is it so expensive?
besides very low amount in the print run.
EU market already tanks pretty pretty hard on the card as its going to see a reprint.
Easily a 50% down and the card might get down to a ~10$ card, as its "real" demand is just that small and all the cards value was focused in its low print run.
Foils might go up in the end and not be that drasticly impacted, as they are still fairly rare even with a reprint.

Yea your probably right
Still a little weird
spellskite demand ended now you can find mint for $8 when it was previously like in the $36 and that was due to modern sideboards and now it's over demand is done

But when demand ended for the phyrexian Obliterator did it drop in price...no
It's just something that needed a reprint to get the price to drop.
