I find it interesting that Wizards brands this as a "casual" set and then puts competitive, multiplayer staples in it.
competitive multiplayer? Are there any serious, organized and with consistent schedule multiplayer tournaments anywhere?
serious question, never heard about it.

"Competetitive" does not always equal "Tournament". There are PLENTY of cutthroat Commander-playing "Casuals" out there in general. And yes, lots of LGS's hold Commander Tournaments on their own, and where there are prizes to be won, you will have people being competitive.

strongly disagree.
it doesn´t matter that my kitchen table uses full powered legacy decks, it´s still casual play if the stakes are 0.
Nice, stone cold staples for commander and other multiplayer formats but your run of the mill tap lands everywhere else. I imagine(or hope) the price will end up being pretty reasonable on them since other formats have no use for them, but the fact that every non-mono commander is going to want at least 1 could push it up.
The art on them isn't great; Spire Gardenand Sea of Clouds are ok but the rest feel very underwhelming for untapped duel lands that will see play in almost every multiplayer deck from now until the end of time. The arts are varied enough that I could see someone disagreeing and loving something like Luxury Suites art for their Olivia Voldaren commander deck, so credit to them for that.
They should have just gone whole hog & given them basic land types.
100% agree....
they'd be as good as ABUR duals without touching any competitive formats....
would simply make for happy deckbuilding for every casual multiplayer player out there.

You don't consider Local Store-run Tournaments or Convention Events like GenCon's, which involve prizes to the winners, "Stakes"?

I thought that too. Oh well, can't use your Rocky Tar Pits on them (assuming the Onslaught/Zendikar fetches are out of reach for people). Other than that, love the concept and the art is phenomenal. They would look AWESOME in foil.
What kind of symbol is that? *squints* Edit: Nevermind

First look at the plane too and it seems very Ravnica like. Love the flavor of a Suit being aBR land.

These will be commander staples
Also, very good duals for Commander.

No one has ever really accused WotC or Hasbro of hating money, I guess. Lands like these move packs when gimmicks won't.

Also: Allied-only, WotC? Really? Really?
WotC must hate enemy & wedge EDH decks.
Its 2 on 2 combat world right so I guess Ally Land make sense from that prospective.

Trap your friends in an endless game with this 23-card combo!

Except, perhaps, for the lack of enemy pairs. The moment WotC does give us the other five, I will [CENSORED FOR THE SAKE OF COMMON DECENCY].
Probably saving that one for the next cash grab.

First BB spoiler, first post and first complaint all in one!
These are going to be awesome in EDH.

They don't have basic land types and yet these will be permanent staples in edh

The supplemental summer sets have always been good for Commander. This should come as no surprise at all.
