because turning someone into an animal doesn't leave a corpse
How do you know? There are a lot of things you can do that leave corpses...
Because transmogrify is an actual real word, meaning to change or greatly alter something. Leaving a corpse wouldn't indicate something was changed into something else, but rather something replaced something else.
You have rendered my joke humorless.. Didn't you know that in Magic world transmogrify does not have the same meaning that it does in ours?

They're still using destroy? I thought exile or tuck was the better option? Unless the Ox is bursting out of the target's body, in which case I got news for ya: that ain't transmogrifying.
Actually, I feel a good way for blue and black both to get "replacement" effects is that blue gets tuck, black gets destroy, and both get exile. When black destroys the creature and replaces it, it's either a chestburster tactic or it's another creature come to kill/eat the target creature (sometimes several). And where blue generally gives the replacement token to the target's controller, black usually keeps the token for itself owing to its selfish nature.
MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
An ox!? You transmogrified me into an ox! You were supposed to turn me into a pterodactyl, you nincompoop!
Also, weighing in on the destroy/exile thing: the graveyard is just kind of weird. Like, does milling a creature leave behind a corpse? I would assume not. If you like, you can think of this card as just putting the spell that summoned the creature into the graveyard and leaving an ox behind.
Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!

It means turn it into a robot.
On phasing:
Coretapper, Energy Chamber and Vedalken Infuser can also be used to fuel this forever.
Power Conduit to a lesser extent if you have some other counters strategy.
Then to look for more synergies with charge counters: Astral Cornucopia, Brain in a Jar, Chalice of the Void, Coalition Relic, Engineered Explosives, Everflowing Chalice, Gemstone Array, Kyren Toy, Lux Cannon, Magistrate's Scepter, Pentad Prism, Ratchet Bomb, Sphere of the Suns, Umezawa's Jitte.
There are more cards centric around "charge counters", but I thought I'd list the most relevant one in my opinion.
