I like that these encourage you to stay in a guild in limited, as it looks like fixing will be pretty good. I know that banners were basically unplayable in Khans block and I don't know about cluestones, but I think they weren't very good either. So these are not high picks, but a bit of CA in the lategame can't hurt.
Selesnya, Izzet and Dimir have the best AWs and Izzet (unsurprisingly) has the funniest flavor text.
Also the Golgari locket confirms that Mazirek is still alive.
Agreed, interesting spin on the clue stones/banners.

Well if they are playable depends on the speed of the format. The blazing fast nature of Gatecrash made keyrunes pretty useless. Although the rakdos keyrune saw standard play but that was due to the power of supreme verdict against aggro decks.
I'd still really of prefered 2 mana etb tapped. Turn 3 is kind of the critical turn for limited its when you really get going, I don't think I want to take a turn off to cast this... perhaps on turn 4 with a two drop.
In the limited article from yesterday they talked about the goal for a draft with 8 people having 5 guild drafters and 3 three-color (or more) drafters on average. My guess is 2CMC guild manarocks would've increased the rate of people drafting three colors more often than they were comfortable with.
I was hoping for a reprint of the signets mostly to push down the price of some of the Ux ones, but more mana rocks is always nice.
I imagine they'll be in the Guild Starter Kits we're getting in November.
Given, rightly in this case, Signets are way too pushed for Standard.
I'm... okay with these not-Cluestones. They won't carry the same weight but I was hoping for a somewhat more unique design in each case, more Keyrune-esque.
Hierophant, electromancer, death priest, spymaster...
Guildmage.
Even in flavor text they're not even trying to pretend the Boros aren't just a compromise they have to have in Ravnica.
The complains are getting more and more creative this days. Keep it coming
Those artifacts looks very playable in commander and limited, especially the boros one. They net you card advantage as commons, ramps and fixes your mana and you don't even need to play the guild in order to draw the cards. I really like them as a fair ""signets". Also, this is not Dragon's Maze, we don't have 10 guilds in a small set, you will see a lot less of these in limited.

These would be neat as a sort of guild version of Hedron Archive if they gave two colored mana.

It has been mentioned several times that both signets and karoos (bouncelands) are too strong for modern (normal set) Limited. Hence, guildgates, keyrunes, cluestones and now lcckets.
I like these. Another set of ten to collect in foil, besides the gates.

I have no clue what you are talking about. Care to elaborate? Some irrational Boros hate or some irrational feeling of Boros getting not enough love? Because seriously, I have no idea.
By the way, both Alovnek and Heruj are flavor callbacks to the first Ravnica block, where they were quoted. Heruj just, over time, went from initiate to hierophant.

Yea, cycles of these produce incredible annoying booster packs.
Open like 4+ of them and your booster is as empty as it possible could be.
Lets hope they somehow "modify" the randomization of these to guarantee its only 1 per booster, that would be reasonable.
Again, this is not Dragon's Maze. The chance of getting 4 of those in the same booster are not high, and besides, those are good mana rocks. I'll rank them lower then signet and higher then cluestone, and that's exactly where this set's design wants to be.
Aside from limited, the only real application the lockets might have are Commander, and I'd rather have Commander's Sphere.
Thats exactly what I was thinking. I really like the idea of these, but did they really needed to make the ability to draw two cards cost 4 colored mana? Would it be to broken if that would cost 3 or even 2 mana to activate?

Two Hybrid Mana is way too low for a draw 2 effect. I honestly can't see Three Hybrid being at common for the draw 2. Hybrid/A/B cost maybe...
But that removes the ability for another limited player from splashing black or cracking this in Izzet, for instance. And that's a large part of this card's function in design.
The Boros one seems very good for EDH.

No complaint from me though.

GENERATION 12: The first time you see this, copy and paste it into your signature and add 1 to the generation number. It's a social experiment.
Point is having a mana rock that can become two cards late game? At instant speed? In non-blue colors? That's a pretty fair price.
Also artifact support that can copy the two card draw ability with Kurkesh, Onakke Ancient and Tawnos, Urza's Apprentice.
