If Bolas dies, the terms of the contract ensures that Liliana dies with him. But, Ajani provides a workaround by giving Liliana a form of life support, like maybe a talisman that contains enough life and youth-sustaining magic to last for, say, a year or so. Ajani urges Liliana to find a benevolent means of extending her life if she truly insists on clinging to her youth and beauty, and in the meantime make peace with those she has had difficulties with in the past, like Jace.
There's also the matter of the Chain Veil and how Liliana is going to free herself of it. You'd think simply destroying the Veil would suffice, but there may be more to it than that.

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
There has to be some reason she's using white magic. But other than that, it's not a spoiler. We know Gideon has the Blackblade.

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!
maybe we would also get a Gideon with black mana in the cmc, 2WB? because he has the sword now.
And have his trademark ability "become creature until eot" give him p/t equal to the number of lands you control because Blackblade, though it doesn't sound like a fit in WB...
After seeing the War of the Spark trailer, I've had this giant desire for the only non-extinguished candle to represent Liliana, with the top one obviously representing Bolas. I would LOVE to see Liliana successfully deceive and betray Bolas as kind of a "hat trick +1" just after she destroyed her Demons.
Being familiar with how the Dominaria story went, Gideon is boned going to die if he has to fight side by side with Liliana. Plus Bolas is going to be all like "Oh, you got that sword. Good job!" Then proceed to Sith lord force him to stab himself with it in the worse case scenario.

1. (Ravnica Allegiance): You can't keep a good esper control deck down... Or Wilderness Reclamation... or Gates...
2. (War of the Spark): Guys, I know what we need! We need a cycle of really idiotic flavor text victory cards! Jace's Triumph...
3. (War of the Spark): Lets make the format with control have even more control!
what you said made me look at Blackblade Reforged. They could give the ability of the sword to his walker card, but yeah it does not feel white black... getting +1/+1 from lands feels green. Hmm, but the previous holder of the sword.. Korlash, heir to blackblade got p/t from lands.

And the original Dakkon Blackblade, who made the precedent for the ability, is WUB, of all things. Though it is a rather old card from the times when the color pie wasn't taken all that seriously. Also note that Black can care at least about the number of Swamps.
Another option would be simply giving Gideon deathtouch, as that's basically what the blade does in the story. It fits in WB and would make him rather nasty to play against.
Dakkon is weird card in that if you read his flavor text you think he was Jeskai. Since it references Waves, Mountains, and Plains. But he cares about Lands which I guess is really Green. Now the Black is probably cause in lore the blade gets stronger based on what it kills.
The question isn't IF Lilliana will turn on Bolas, but when and how successfully. I'd wager fairly successfully, actually. The contract probably falls under law magic, which Gideon is decent at and Jace has absurd power with when it relates to the Guildpact, which they might be able to stretch to cover her because she's on Ravnica. A stretch, but it's possible. Alternately, Bolas is supposed to teach her how to use the Chain Veil, which might backfire on Bolas.

Honestly, it bugs me that Blackblade Reforged doesn't do anything remotely resembling what it's supposed to flavorwise. The whole "+1/+1 for each land" thing was grandfathered in from Dakkon Blackblade and has nothing to do with draining life.

A little bit of a stretch... but Corrupt counts the number of swamps, a life drain spell. So Dakkon holding the sword get's +1/+1 for each land? Since he's legendary, they made him a little stronger than a nightmare. He get's a bonus from each land, not just swamps.
This is also the first time I saw the original Dakkon card, and he looks badass. That is certainly a sword that can hurt Bolas.

You guys also forgetting Korlash, Heir to Blackblade who also has the P/T equal to swamps, so its a pretty consistent thing for the Blackblade to do, although I guess they did lands so its different from Nightmare Lash and Lashwrithe

Every color can care about its own basic land type, but green and black do so more than other colors. Green because lands, black because addiction.
