I was wondering the same thing. Trying to figure out what would be good/make sense.

Rhonas:

• Fecundity would be fun, comboing with Bontu.
• Greater Good
• Vernal Bloom not only doesn't make a lot of sense for Rhonas, it's also basically Nissa, Who Shakes the World.
• Abundance and Defense of the Heart are both doubtful for power reasons.

Oketra:

• Worship. I really want her to just be Worship.
• Martyr's Cause would be Zombie/GY synergy, at least.
• It better not just be Glorious Anthem.
• Pariah would be powerful, every 3rd turn she takes all the damage.
• Remembrance would also be fun. Would make for some great shenanigans.

Kefnet:

• Energy Field could be fun--reminiscent of the Hekma.
• Mental Discipline would be on flavor for Kefnet the Mindful, but not super exciting.
• Opposition would be sick, but probably "too strong for Standard".
• Arcane Laboratory could be fun.
• Attunement is actually pretty on flavor, as well.
• Delusions of Mediocrity would be fun with Role Reversal in the format. Would actually be fun to side in Trostani Discordant against it!
• Could even be Confiscate.

If they're [s]all[/s] based on powerful Urza's block enchantments[/s], I'd say those are the best options.

Bontu’s is not a enchantment it’s a sorcery

I can't really see Oketra having Worship for two reasons: first, she'd be self-fulfilling of its condition, which would make the condition itself fairly pointless; and second, we're already getting it on an emblem from Serra in Modern Horizons. Martyr's Cause would be fun - maybe all the god-eternals have a sacrifice theme? Or maybe they'll all just have an ETB.

Doom Piggy has attack trigger, but on the other hand, he's the odd one in the cycle.
If they have etb triggers, Rhonas and Kefnet have a best friend in Tamiyo, Collector of Tales. Cast them, get them killed, tuck them away, dig for them with Tamiyo, rinse, repeat...

So this, Teferi, Time Raveler, and Awaken the Erstwhile? All in where you are pretty much guaranteed to have a ton more zombies than your opponent, and they can't interact with your combo because of Teferi. They get one turn to draw a board wipe before before you run them over. Costs ten mana, but you are already Esper Control at that point so it's not outside the realm of possibility.

Well, soo far the gods have 3 abilities: one is a evergreen one (trample, Manace), the other is the "don't die" of the gods, and the other is a triggered ability...

Bontu's triggered is when she enters the battlefield while the pig god is when he attacks.

Maybe for Kefnet it will be something to do with drawning cards or could be something at the upkeep or endstep. Or something as sily as Impatience

Oketra for all we know could have a No Mercy (making a punt with Oketra's Last Mercy)

Well lets wait those gods with triggered abilities

Can't wait to see Show and Tell in standard for 3UU. As hog father is Sneak Attack but costs 3RR and seasick crocodile is Reprocess but for 3BB.

Where does this come from? This reminds me of Japanese, where the number four is pronounced the same way as the word for death 'shi'.

Four and Death are homophones in a lot of East Asian languages, so yeah, the superstition is pretty common.

How does the tuck effect work when cloned? Does the clone get tucked as well or does it simply go to the graveyard? My guess would be that it gets tucked (it still has the ability when it dies), but I am no rules expert...

God-Eternal Bontu goes nice in a Endrek Sahr, Master Breeder commander deck.

Maybe Turnabout for Kefnet? As much as I want Time Spiral in a commander, I got the feeling that it may just be a little, little bit easy to abuse. Although they did come up with Bolas's Citadel so they are not completely shy from printing broken things.

Ronas with Abundance is my guess. Again my want would be Greater Good, but you know..busted.

Actually if they reworded a Greater Good effect with "Sacrifice another creature.." then it's possible.

I have to say that keto diet has been working really well for Bontu. Looking trim and terrific around the waist.

I like that you're worried about the ability being too broken & decide to go with Turnabout of all things! It's a testament to Urza's block that such an effect seems fair.

But yeah, given that Bolas's Citadel evokes Yawgmoth's Bargain, who knows what they'll do?

Anyone find the notion of Bolas controlling a monogreen & monowhite God rather curious?

Of all the amonkhet gods Bontu 'deserved' becoming a mindless thrall to Bolas for her betrayal. But it's going to be a kick in the gut to see the three benevolent gods turned like this.

Her card is great though and actually fits well into my original Bontu EDH deck. I won't even have to pay the original's sacking cost to let her attack and block!

For those saying this has synergy with Barren Glory, afaik, it won't, because Bontu says you can sacrifice other permanents.

Besides, she draws you a whole lot of cards, you would need an edict and One with nothing or something...

Between throwbacks to old uber lands Cabal Coffers/Cabal Stronghold, Gaea's Cradle/Itlimoc, Cradle of the Sun, Lotus Vale/Lost Vale, Maze of Ith/Spires of Orazca, and so forth, and now Sneak Attack god and Reprocess god...I can't tell if WotC is aiming for nostalgia, or for fixing older cards, or if this is a formula for a better standard/modern card pool?
