(incidentally, Glacial Revelation and Impostor of the Sixth Pride aren't linking properly because they are actually spelled correctly in the post but the mtgs db has them spelled wrong - Revalation and Imposter - and isn't matching!)

Still hoping to see Mana Flare get a reprint in black border after all these years. There are still a few Rare slots open, and it would fit perfectly at #135.
Also, we're not getting Brainstorm. If Ponder and Preordain are too consistent for Modern, why would a more efficient and consistent card be introduced to the format?

May your games be chaotic and your decks be Rogue.
Likewise I see no chance for Winds of Change. They're working towards mulligan rule changes to ensure fewer nongames... they're not gonna introduce a T1 "Force your opponent to draw a new starting hand without any mulligan options" to Modern.
168/249 cards spoiled. In the list, just 1 more spoiler for today. There will really be more than 70 cards spoiled tomorrow? 05/30 is the last spoiler day.

No. 14 people/groups have spoilers for tomorrow (5/30). From that I estimate about 20 cards will be revealed. The rest of the set will then be revealed Friday, as per usual.

Currently Playing:
Standard - Some kind of control
Modern - UB Mill (casual)
EDH - Meren's Grave Shenanigans
I’m shocked how incredibly weak the Snow showing has been. There’s been nothing remotely competitive from Snow.
More of a concern is the Slivers. Maro said in his article that there were a “few” really powerful/interesting slivers, yet the only competitive Slivers are First Sliver, Boros sliver, and arguably the red 3 drop. Everything else has been limited fodder. And the only truly wow Sliver is the First Sliver. Boros Sliver is just really efficient and gives two very important keywords.
I feel like there are way too many draft archetypes for the set. Where has creaturefall been? That’s one of the most interesting ones to me. Wizards tried to cram way too much in the set, and it feels like some of the archetype/themes haven’t been given their chance to shine.
Three of the four multi color cards remaining are fairly easy to predict color wise:
1 WU Rare
1 WU Uncommon
1 BG Uncommon
The final slot will likely be a RG Rare, unless they determine that Wrenn & Six count there and give BR a second rare to make up for the mythic imbalance (this has been known to happen)

You don't think the 3-mana snow-scaling Mutilate (Dead of Winter) is at least remotely competitive?
Yes and no. It's not competitive because we don't have enough competitive snow permanents for it to be worthwhile. That'll be great once we have more real snow stuff.
What this set desperately needs is an Ice Moon type of card that turns all lands into snow lands. It also needs just some competitively cost snow creatures. Or a kind of mana dork that could add mana of any color, but only for snow lands. There just isn't enough snow stuff for it to be worthwhile. The snow wrath is the closest thing, but it's just not good enough because it requires other snow stuff. I really hope that the next snow set brings some legit snow stuff for Modern.

Praying for a Hexproof Crystaline Sliver with one of those WU cards.

Or another 3+ color thing. Or a random hybrid common like that Disenchaturalize was.

That’s my prediction as well for 2 out of the three rares. I believe Gruul and Azorius colors will be in to fill the dual colored rare cycle and same with the 2 uncommons you said.
That leaves one more rare which I think will be blue to let it at least kind of even out the rare distribution.
Once it's uncommon, I'm hoping Sterling Grove will be reprinted
Oh, that'd be nice. The lack of (non-aura) enchantment tutors in Modern really perturbs me. Blue keeps on getting its artifact tutors (the * mage series, Whir of Invention), all enchantments get are Idyllic Tutor, which isn't even that good, nobody plays it competitively, and it STILL has climbed over a $30 price tag because it didn't get reprinted in ANY of the Masters sets.

Idyllic Tutor is damn too slow for modern. I really do not understand why it’s so expensive. We really need Sterling Grove or Enlightened Tutor... both are still possible.

The Answer is commander. It is widely played in enchantment based decks, such as Karametra Enchantress.

I'd love Sterling Grove in this set, but while it hasn't been crunched out, I'm not very optimist considering the color pair balancing. In fact, with the new Heliod Land they just printed, it may be a bit too strong for Modern. But I'll keep dreaming with it!
From the list, Snuff Out and Gempalm Incinerator stick out to me as the most likely to be in the set. The latter works with both the goblin and cycling themes, while the former is probably safer than Dismember since you need to be running black to cast it.

I understand your point, but don't think Sterling Grove is too strong for Modern. The card is balanced because it makes you decide between "protection" to your enchantments or a way to tutor your enchantment (that won't have shroud). We know that in Modern time is everything. To make a combo where you keep bringing back Sterling Grove with the new land and tutoring other enchantments you would probably have to make an entire deck to support it. Many other powerful combos run faster and are totally viable in Modern (Academy ruins and the cards that tutor artifacts are there to prove it)... I really can't see why the new land and Sterling Grove can't coexist.
About the color balance of the set... I agree with you. However, we, as bogle players, have to keep dreaming that something useful for us will show up among the cards not spoiled yet.

Wouldn’t snuff out end dismembers reign of strength in modern
Since snuff can be cast for 4 life and 0 rather than 4 life and 1
