Not sure if it makes the cut for Modern Slivers, but it janks well with Psionic Sliver. Still praying for a Spellstutter Sprite variant for slivers and/or a Kitesail Freebooter variant, though the latter is probably way too powerful. As is the former when I think about it..
Nice card to go with Psionic Sliver or any damage based boardwipe like Deafening Clarion.
I'm assuming multiple copies of this sliver make for multiple triggers, right?
MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
If a Modern Slivers decks takes off, I wouldn't be surprised by seeing it there, it can act both as a very good insurance against damage-based sweepers, make large attackers a liability, or it can also make your own Anger of the Gods, Pyroclasm or Deafening Clarion a brutal one-two punch against creature decks.
A very powerful Sliver indeed.
Savage Twister got its modern reprint in Guildpact. Sudden Demise would work (though you'd wanna be running all-red-slivers to make that hum, the usual color spread of multicolor slivers wouldn't play nice with that ideal of hitting all your slivers).
art reminds me of a hyrdalisk from starcraft, which is kinda fitting considering how closely the zerg and phyrexians can relate.
Sliver's aren't Phyrexian in origin, or really related to them. An Evincar prior to Volrath brought them to Rath, and Volrath experimented with them to see if they could be turned into a weapon for Phyrexia. The Overlay then killed the Rathi Hive. Later the Slivers from the Rathi hive were brought back and experimented upon by the Riptide Project of Otaria, from whence they escaped and formed a new Hive on Otaria.

It's about time for the reserved list to die, for the sake of Vintage and Legacy (And Commander).
Does this effect stack? Either way, seems like there's a janky combo deck with either blasphemous act, or even a damage doubler like furnace of rath or dictate of the twin gods. Bolt a sliver, pass the bolt along, then 24 to target player.

ah my mistake then. for some reason i just always thought slivers and phyrexians were related. so i guess its more accurate to say the zerg from starcraft lore are like a mixture of the two.

How would you "pass the bolt"? This only redirects to players and planeswalkers.

Obviously combos with everything that already combos with the Doll and his variants, but also fun with Psionic Sliver and Sliver Hivelord.
Same go for star of extinction
But for safety reasons I would highly advise a sliver hivelord in play Incase someone has a Angel's Grace or something in hand
