Interesting note if this is played against this Modern deck: if you choose the first two modes, and they sacrifice the creature with a bunch of auras on it, the only thing that should be put into the graveyard is the creature itself, and not the stack of auras on it. THEN the creature and the rest of the graveyard gets exiled. Once this spell resolves, THEN state based effects are checked, and the game sees a bunch of auras floating around attached to nothing, and get out into the graveyard immediately. They are NOT exiled as part of this spell resolving.
hmm, there is like 1 ability that is worth 2 mana and 3 abilities worth 1 mana (especially in a 1v1, and this set was supposed to be for modern, and not commander). so i dont think entwine makes this card good... feels more like it is unecessary. to me this is a penny rare
I feel like this could be previewing a cycle of enemy colored commands w/ entwine. Given that each of the talismans quoted another enemy colored planeswalker, we could be seeing Vraska's ..., Ral's ..., etc.
the Crunch still has slot s in the multicolor section for this:
"The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again"
How is Kaya in ANY way different from the other silly, designed-by-committee protagonists they've crammed into the Jacetice League... ahem... Magic Avengers... ahem... Gatewatch? Every. Last. One of them is New Coke.
(Except Ajani.)
They are talking more like how much spot light they are giving her in the last year (2 new Pw cards, 2 very good control cards)
The character semi-development (discovering she got played by evil dictators/masterminds (marchesa and bolas respectively))(not understanding that some times the best solutions are the diplomatic ones instead of the take the power ones, I mean, we know the next Ravnica set the orzhov will be all right but that should not be the case imo) is normal and I think people are okish with that, just the lame way they are doing that is what is bothering. This is like what happened to domri and Dovin but no one give a crap about their fate (Dovin is blind now ) (domri bitted the dust). They gave to her a lot of spotlight in a very short time and in storyline that should focus in theory more in the long term characters and imo spread the love for new characters. Although we can say that she was a old character for a lot of eternal players imo having kaya be the new Jace or the new Chandra don’t make the exposure of those walkers that is a issue for a lot of people less of a issue because it is a new planeswalker.
But we have to face the truth: the gatewatch will be the main players, and lets be honest, having Karn and Teferi (old characters that finally returned, even if bad writhen) and new characters that will only appear in each 3 years is better than keep following 4-6 characters. For exemple I doubt we will see anything related to teyo or Karn-teferi (that is not a reprint) in any eternal product this year.
We don't know enough of her backstory yet to make a judgment call on her naivete when it comes to getting exploited by evil master minds. Notably, it's always been against undead spirits (King Brago and the Ghost Council of Orzhova, the latter of which was definitely evil), which seems to indicate that she comes from a world where undead spirits are a real problem for the living. I think part of her development is learning that undead spirits are not always a bad thing.
Anyway, enough speculation on my part.
The card itself is awesome. Definitely either putting it in my Orzhov commander deck, or my Aminatou commander deck. Possibly both.

It's about time for the reserved list to die, for the sake of Vintage and Legacy (And Commander).

Sounds like a set up for a "rescue Elspeth" storyline.
