For kicks throw in Simian Spirit Guide and O-Naginata on turn 2 as well and swing for 28 with Trample. Or if you had a second hammer in hand, SSG the 2nd Hammer out and swing for 42 on T2. (Just watch out for Paths and Pushes)

This is hilarious flavor. I am putting it in my equipment commander deck even if it's not actually good with Aurelia, the Warleader. Don't let your memes be dreams.

Man are we seeing the next iteration of the WWQuest for the Holy Relic decks? I have to say it's nice when white gets a combo deck. Doesn't happen too often.
This is the greatest hommage in Magic to your typical Warhammer armament I've ever seen.
Also, I imagine someone in a WotC board meeting shouting: "You know what we've not had in a LONG time! A broken 1 artifact!!!!"
I mean, seriously. This card would have been hilarious and still quite good if it cost EIGHT to cast. (Kind of a love child of Argentum Armor and Eldrazi Conscription.) Sure, you'd have to cheat it out with Stoneforge Mystic before using Puresteel Paladin or Sigarda's Aid and it would have been casual lulz only, but still cool.
You could probably pull O-Naginata for some protection like Apostle's Blessing which might be more relevant. That way you could probably pull the Sejiri Steppes, just go down to 18 lands and pop in another 2 artifacts, maybe +2 Memnite

Consider vault skirge and spellskite to help your artifact counts
Good recommendations.
I think the 0 cmc artifact creatures leaves the door open for a T2 win with a double hammer, sigardas aid, SSG combo play. Or at least a 11/11 or 10/12 attacker turn 2 as well. Skirge could fit the bill with a nice lifegain boost for sure. Seems awfully fragile to removal though. Really glass cannon.

Id say that once youve maximized your christmasland turn two plays, you can then focus on turn three and creature redundancy.
To that end - I say the naginata is not that useful and puresteel paladin is useful mostly just as a plan B.
This probably works a bit like bogles but of course the equipment persists. What if your opponent targets the equipment for removal?
Moving along... You will get the hammer pretty consistently but you cant count on having it on turn 1. I say this is more of a turn 3 combo that will occasionally go off on turn two. Sigarda's Aid is the real problem here.
Do we play thopters to maximize the chance of comboing out on the rare turn one where we have both? And while we're at it - maybe throwing SSG into the mix and hoping to combine it with so many other cards is just too much variance?
trinket mage as an additional tutor and target you can equip to if the crap hits the fan?
If you T1 do a thing, t2 puresteel paladin pass, they either bolt your pld or deploy a threat, at that point if they don't have an answer (which can and does happen) you have plenty of tutor options to just go ham. T3 trinket mage, pitch ssg play the hammer you tutored and equip for free on trinket mage makes that search for azcanta your opp played look silly. Then removal HAS to be pointed at the mage while puresteel gets to keep handing out hammers fo free until they kill him too.

Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.

Yeah, was not talking about Modern here. There are WAAAY better ways to jank it out in Modern if that's your goal.

That is why I said drop the O-Naginata route in an earler post and focus a bit more on protection with +4Apostle's Blessing, good early, mid or late game. And potentially protects the artifacts as well.
Also remember London Mulligan is coming. A good way to smooth out some of the variance. Sigs Aid is the tricky bit with no fetching for it at a reasonable mana cost. I brewed this list up on the fly in a few minutes, never said it would be competitive, just fast at times. The definition of a glass cannon.
I do like your thought of 2 Skites in the MB or maybe 2 SB or even 2 main and 2 side.
Paths could shift to the sideboard and another 4 artifacts could be slotted in. Possibly a set of Skites or 2 Skites/2 Vault Skirge as you recommended. Maybe an equipment with Living Weapon as well??? Flayer Husk

What's really crazy is that you only need one Plains to win the game by turn 3, and if you hit a second land drop you could win by turn 2. Kiln Fiend has a hard time winning that quickly.

Instead they let you drop it T1 no hoops.
Here's a simplistic list I was thinking...
4 Kor Duelist
4 Kor Outfitter
4 Ornithopter
4 Path to Exile
4 Sigarda's Aid
4 Steelshaper's Gift
4 O-Naginata
14 Plains
4 Darksteel Citadel
2 Sejiri Steppe

This is all back up to the steelshaper's gift / sigarda's aid + duelist route.
Sprinkle in apostle's blessing to taste. Maybe even GWu so you can access cards like blossoming defense or other goodies so it survives.
glistner elf can be an effective duelist copies 4-8. I mean if elf connects that's game too.
4 kor duelist
4 glistner elf
4 puresteel paladin
4 sigarda's aid
4 steelshaper's gift
4 open the armory
4 colossus hammer
2 argentum armor
2 apostle's blessing
2 rancor
4 blossoming defense
2 path to exile
2 trinket mage
Duelist/elf art your beats.
Aid/paladin let you equip for cheap.
Blessing/defense let you protect the combo.
Gift/armory/mage are tutors (mage is backup beats).
Then you can run hateful equipment in the side like swords, etc. mage can grab pithing needle, grafdiggers cage, relic, etc if you need to.
4 Kitesail Apprentice
4 Kor Duelist
4 Fencing Ace
4 Swiftblade Vindicator
4 Colossus Hammer
Enchantments
4 Sigarda's Aid
Instants
4 Emerge Unscathed
4 Gods Willing
4 Steelshaper's Gift
Land
4 Sacred Foundry
4 Sunbaked Canyon
16 Plains
