Seems like it would be good in eternal formats having two fetchlands in play, end of their turn crack them for white duals and then bring back the two fetchs having 4 mana and a free land drop on turn three. Then later when lands are irrelevant can save creatures, walkers and other potentially potent permanents like equipment from removal. Potentially a white Veteran Explorer type card that could spawn a midrange deck for Modern or Legacy.
Ult a planeswalker, get it and potentially something else back, activate the walker. Nissa comes to mind.
We aren't that far removed from Kaya's Ghostform. Sure, you can maybe engineer some utility about the second permanent you can bring back. But my point is, "Ult a planeswalker and get it right back supercheap" isn't new ground anymore. It's very-recently-trodden ground.
So it's a fixed mini Second Sunrise. Given that the referenced card is a powerhouse and the spine of Eggs decks this should see some play. Now, bringing back 10 eggs is obviously more powerful than 2, but it's still loopable with Eternal WitnessViashino Pyromancer and Phyrexian Altar. And that's just the tip of the iceberg.
Could be fun with Evoke cards as well. Mulldrifter and this and you draw 4 cards and get a 2/2 flier, albeit tapped. Shriekmaw and this and you kill two birds with one stone so to speak.
Playing since 1994: Currently MAGS (HomeBrew),Standard & Pauper (Pioneer and Modern are degenerate trash formats)

Well that seems like a great way to get a T4 Teferi, Hero of Dominaria online with access to a tasty land to untap with his +1. Sadly, I don't think it's right for Modern Esper as it needs to be reactive on the first few turns but while Big T is in standard, could be fun.

Turn four with another land drop it also let's you cast Teferi with a mana up so you can hold countermagic up while casting him. Spell Pierce?
Tale's End could work, because at least you could also counter something with it, most likely, but Repudiate/Replicate is useless most of the rest of the time.

Really? You're framing it that Repudiate//Replicate is the niche corner case card that won't have any other versatility (when it's a discounted Clone or counters a PW ult as its fail-case)? While propping up this card, which is most likely to be at-best a Death Ward if your Lotus plan doesn't come together?
Ahhhhh... so many times you get to the exact number for the PW ultimate and you sit and ponder... do it now or wait a turn when it has more loyalty. Well, this can solve that dilemma, or just get back your 2 best beaters after a Wrath is played.

Uhhh...seriously? Save a Planeswalker > regenerate a creature. Return Search after your Azcanta gets Field of Ruined? Death Ward is dumpster tier. This card is way better than that. People have historically played cards like Second Sunrise. Who plays Repudiate/Replicate? Lil Timmy in his treehouse?
I absolutely adore this card!!! Instant speed for two white, gives white some board resilience with a powerful effect, works with planeswalkers and has amazing art? I’m on board with this! A welcome addition to my Ephara deck! Man I love this set! I can get back a planeswalker and creature and draw off the ephara trigger, choosing an ETB trigger creature as well. Such versatility and finally some resilience conferred by white.
Some how I want this to be a thing in some sort of planeswalkerless control where you have a bunch of white and blue removal / counter spells etc cycle through everything returning all the good stuff then get a massive history army and win the game
