Trostani Discordant only works with creatures, so you have to animate the Claw first. Outside of standard, Brooding Saurian works better for this combo.

For a "good enough", there's using this thing, then having Oko, Thief of Crowns turn it into an Elk.
I was thinking exactly this with Ashiok, Dream Render. They'll control it at the point they try to use it. So they at least cannot search. There's also Threeferi which can just bounce it after you use it to not only get it back, but also draw a card.
I thought a pair of [Corridor Monitor]s could help you tutor more than once but where can you [Bring to Life] and make it a 4/4 artifact creature before you hand it off if you dont have the Monitors or mana available to combo it ?
