Oh another white creature, 5 color commander. Well they try to make white more relevant in commander XD. I like the card but I wouldn't play him because political decks aren't my thing.
There isn't a point to play him as mono white commander. Why should you do that? Add at least blue, black or/and green. I thing that the red activation ability is really strong too but red is the worse color after white for the format. He might be the first political boros option :laugh2:. You can't use it at one of the 99 without being WRUBG.
I like them, as they can hit design space that full WUBRG really can't. For example, let's say someone wanted a WUBRG Elf legend. Now Elves are good at tapping for mana, but most only tap for G. A legend that grants "T: Add one mana of any color" to your Elves would be highly useful. But that's a bit wasted on a WUBRG legend, as by the time you cast that you don't really need color fixing anymore. However, what if the Elf legend cost 2G? To make the WUBRG part less of a gimme, the legend gives Elves you control "T: Add one mana of any color in this creature's color identity". Then not only do you have a commander that helps you color fix and ramp (they can tap for one mana of any color, helping you cast multicolor Elves), you also have a reward for playing Elves of all five colors.
Point is, making WUBRG legends actually cost WUBRG all the time puts contraints on what functional designs you can make. For starters, you can't make a legend that costs less than 5 mana. Not every commander wants a cmc of 5+. There's also the fact a solid WUBRG commander is harder to reliably cast. A monocolor or even colorless commander with WUBRG identity is easier to play, thanks to the option of a lower cmc and requiring fewer colors to play.
At any rate, these kinds of WUBRG legends are every bit as valid as "true" WUBRG legends.
I love this post, and I highly agree. I also happen to love Group Hug decks in EDH, and this is the first 5-color commander I find applicable to the archetype. I usually either play Karona and just turn the game into a slugfest, or play Child of Alara, and threaten destruction when people don't play nice. This is actually a really cool design for a Huglord.
i wonder if the abilities being laid out in this order is to suggest the history of his rule. red, conquering and unifying britain i mean eldraine. green, rebuilding after that war. white, peacetime. and then blue and black are his reign turning to a dark one?
So, the black lady with a sword we saw a while back is apparently Kenrith's wife. Looking at Will and Rowan, then at their other two children, I'm going to guess she's his second wife, and not the twins' biological mother.

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.

Someone elsewhere who's apparently read the book said that a witch magically roofied him thus making her the twins mom. Which, if memory serves, is in line with Arthur's birth in myth.

I think it depends on whether Kenrith is the Arthur stand-in or if one or both twins are. If you see the twins as the arthur stand in it's actually the opposite situation as Merlin transforms Uther to look like Lady Igraine's husband in order to be with her. It actually is kind of a neat twist as Rowan and Will'sbirth mother could be a Mother Gothel-esque character which blends the two nicely. I haven't had the chance to read the ebook yet, but I hope Kenrith is nicer than most depictions of Uther.

Embrace the dark you call a home,
Gaze upon an empty, white throne
A legacy of lies,
A familiar disguise
Sing with me a song of conquest and fate
The black pillar cracks beneath its weight
Night breaks through the day, hard as a stone
Lost in thoughts all alone
Mana intensive, but does the old The Scarab God trick of reanimating the copy in the yard and legend ruling the first to dodge removal. Might try it in Esper Control. The three Esper abilities are really good. With enough mana, and a couple counters, he probably beats red singlehandedly.
.. so can you play him in a mono white commander deck, and just use the white ability ?
As the commander yes, but not in the deck as its color identity is WUBRG and not white.
Actually, if you use anything that produces mana of any color, or of any color that is part of your commander's color identity, you can use all of his abilities even if the entire rest of your deck is mono-white. Well, if he's your commander, that is.

She is
The real birth mother
Um lets just say she’s a witch and gave the king a love potion so she get pregnant (in other words she raped him) and birth Rowan and will which she killed so she has eternal youth but not a happier ever after for her because he figured that out and had her executed but the stepmother sacrificed her magical sword to resurrect Rowan and will
