It's unfortunate you can't dump extra mana to create more tokens than the converted mana cost of what you're returning. Still very interesting though. Playable in EDH.

Protection from reason (Decadent_Creed can't be blocked, targeted, dealt damage, or enchanted by reason.)
does spawn mean they are not put into play or is it just a new wording
That's my bad, I fixed it in the spoiler. It was a side effect of Google translating the German card. The English version will most definitely say create not spawn.
Strange that it’s not “X or less” to allow for more fairies.
I was thinking the same thing, but I suppose they wanted to limit the number of tokens a blue deck can make. I'm thinking Risen Reef decks already ramp so hard. I don't know if I'm ready for that. Lol

This looks worse as a tempo card (because you rely on your opponent having creatures you can bounce with mana cost exactly X), and much better as a way to recur Adventurers.
You need a target, it can fizzle easily, you just bounce a creature in a super expensive way, at sorcery speed, and you get a bunch of faeries that cant be more or less than the creatures converted manacost.
This card OOZES terrible design all over it, its just annoying to play this ...
I say Brudiclad is the only home you got for this when I comes to edh
This card is going to be an all-star in my Sun Quan, Lord of Wu deck, which is always looking for ways to make a significant number of tokens. Currently, that task is being filled with Notorious Throng. The deck runs Coastal Piracy, Bident of Thassa, and Deepfathom Skulker, so plopping out say 6 nigh-unblockable creatures for 8 is good on its own, and the likely card draw in addition is huge.

Return target creature with converted mana cost of X to its owner's hand.
Create X 1/1 bue Fairy creature tokens with flying.
Inhabitants of the wild do not always seek to shade invaders. Sometimes they just get lost.

I guess they forgot when they made Oona.
Something went wrong with the translation there. "Schaden" means "to harm." So replace "shade" with "harm."

for this to be good it would have to be instant, bounce creatures regardless of CMC AND make X tokens you could freely pay any amount you wanted.
as is today.... damn, just one of those cards that are sooooo bad just to make other stuff look better.
