Interesting legendary creatures, especially those that could potentially be a commander tend to be scrutinized far more critically than the average cards, and I myself found the art lacking. Queen Marchesa is obviously dressed in a similar style and looks a hell of a lot better if I may say
As to the argument that the set itself has an agenda, I must say that while I too feel at odds with just how many female knights are depicted, the set also gives us the maidens in distress tropes. I've always liked the "Joan of Arc" characters in fiction and games, so a powerful knight chick is appealing to me, but it's so abundant here it's kind of off putting.
This card feels like a triple slap in the face to me.
I know it's, probably, just coincidence but...
My custom block (I have posted it in part and in full here and on other sites and forums and such over the years) features:
-Noble as a creature type that gets prominent focus.
-A planeswalker named...Ayara (a name that, at least at the time, I had thought was something I came up with entirely myself).
-Elves that were either predominantly black or outright monoblack.
So here we have a monoblack elf noble named Ayara.
I mean, I don't know that I can genuinely say Wizards at least kinda ripped me off here, but that's too many coincidences on one card for me.

Out of the 27 knights so far 10 are female and thats counting Syr Gwyn, a card from the Rowan planeswalker deck and promo art version of the shatter adventure creature.

They should rip off Lorado next, that one has a bunch of real nice mechanics.

The closest folk tale or fairy tale that comes to mind is the Erlkonig or Erlking, an evil elf/ouphe who steals the souls of little kids. It's a German and Danish story.
Well, unfortunately WoTC is based out of one of the most liberal cities in the country. I’ve been playing for 20 years and I’ve seen quite an agenda being pushed. I’ll try to quote examples as far back as I can in sets.
They had Alesha the transgender warrior.
Chandra is bisexual now (with nissa?)
Ral zarek is gay now with a forbidden love story.
Black elf in core set 2020
All the planeswalkers are either female or oppressed.
Oko is Highly sexualized for some reason.
Mostly female knights in Eldraine which never happened in European folk lore.
Killed off all the strong white male characters (Domri, Dack, and gideon) to be replaced by crappy ones. Kaya, Chandra, and Vivien are Muh strong female lead, and feel extremely pushed on us.
Im sure I can find more examples but it’s not worth it to me.
I’m a liberal and believe everyone has a right to their opinion but they’re sure as hell pushing a political agenda through cards.
What does liberal have to do with them being inclusive and representing all walks of life in their fantasy environment? Gay, transgender, and all the other things you mention are a part of our world. Simply turning a blind eye to them and depicting all characters as buff white dudes is an agenda imho. Acknowledging that the world is full of all types of people and carrying that over to their design is what people should be doing, instead of looking backwards to a time when characters were predictably of certain races and gender stereotypes based on their roles in stories. In fantasy, we have an opportunity to explore the what ifs of a known cultural story. Despite the fact that Knights weren't typically female in our world, what if they were? And as wizards has told the story, no big deal if they are. Kudos to wizards for making us think.
There are 243 legendary cards in standard alone. Let's be generous and round down to 200 to weed out the duplicate PW's and other non-creature permanents; that leaves us with ~195 more examples of individual characters that the person you quoted chose to ignore when they made their list. At a certain point, you realize the level of sincerity is so low (see: disingenuous) that some people become unworthy of a good-faith response. This was one of those times.

So, I have only one question... Temur or Sultai?
