Beats me, that's certainly a flavor fail. The card itself looks playable as a 1-of in any deck that can run it. Control decks can use it in case of an emergency, and very fast aggro decks can use it to avoid running out of gas.
This card i can see on the esper control decks as a way to dig sometimes in late game but the draw ability is not that good, but it appears as if they are doing a lifeloss matters deck lol.
this is good even with the storm seeker effect pinned on since it can be used for gas late game post turn 4 in both red and black. those colors usually peter out of hand by that time.
One thing that bothers me is that this cycle of lands will be a staple forever more in mono-colored decks, yet their names mean they won't ever be reprinted in normal sets. (Unless we return to Eldraine, and even then, Wizards rarely reprints cards that are not shock-lands when we return to a plane.)

Al things considered, those temples are rather generic in name. Temple of Mystery could be on any plane, plenty of planes have temples. If it was called Kruphix's Temple, that would change things.

My point is core sets don't really have that much restrictions on naming (or storyline flavor to follow), so they can be reprinted there.
Its not bad, its not good either. It plays well with a handful of commanders and isnt really ever a bad card to play... its just not that great outside of those situations. Ill pick up a few for some builds to test out at least.

If this is true, it's a pretty decent Arguel's Blood Fast/Greed variant for more aggressive Bx (EDH)decks. Really like this one!
