Cards that make both sides draw cards have traditionally been bad or at least unplayable in higher formats. This reminds me of Duskmantle Seer in a bad way.
Duskmantle seer wasn't bad it just never had a home. It was rather good vs the thragtusk decks of the day since it flow over defenses and made combat a nightmare for them by changing lifetotals dramatically and unpredictably. That said it only needed 1-2 turna to kill in the late game and sweepers weren't that popular. This seems more like early agression that drows your opponent out of mana troubles and into sweepers. Maybe a burn style deck could use it but certainly not knight tribal.

It is much easier to break the symmetry on an aggressive 2-cost red creature than on a clunky 4-cost blue creature. I think it has potential. Narset is a bad beating, though.

agree with that. that type of deck wouldnt care for that extra card in early, cause the opponent wont be able to play multiple spells anyway, while it gives him a little extra dmg and that 1 card that might deliver the last 3 damage before the opponent can stabilize the board.
its maybe not a great card, but its a fair card and if it supports ur strategy u might be on the better end of that supposed to be fair deal
Speaking as somebody who's totally ignorant of any current meta, and cannot possibly predict whether this card has what it takes to make an impact, I love this card and it's something I've always wanted as a pants-down tempo player.
A cheap, evasive 2-drop beater? Check.
In the right colors for my play style? Check.
Restocks my hand? Check.
Can push through the last few points worth of damage in the event of a ground stall? Check.
Costs me life? Who cares!
Gives my opponent cards? Who cares!
This card alone makes me want to brew up a Standard deck.
HYPE HYPE OMG ITS SO GOOD HYPE LOOK ITS CHEAP AND GOES INTO MODERN AND STANDARD AND OMG OMG OMG
...its crap. cards that give cards to your opponent like this, especially in formats with cheap removal, are crap. it won't see play. especially when it dies to shock.
Stock up on this card now because it's gonna be a standard staple. Card draw in b/r that doesn't have any hoops to jump through, activates spectacle, and costs /two/ mana?
