Worst-case scenario: you get 5 creatures, and your opponent gets the boardwipe
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the way it's worded, the exiled spell must be cast immediately after Allure of the Unknown resolves, similar to cards like Yahenni's Expertise? So the opp picking a board wipe is fine cuz the remaining 5 go to hand and now my hand is filled with gas.
Either way, the card isn't that great. Basically Tidings, but you draw one more and your opponent gets the best card for free. Theoretically you could hit jackpot if for example you only flip removal and you have no targets, but even in Control decks, digging six deep is a lot, and it's likely your opponent is getting a Planeswalker. It also combos with Trostani Discordant if your deck is mostly creatures, but that's 4 color jank so why bother. Overall, in a 1v1 it takes a lot of work to make work, and even when you do make work, it's okay at best. It's mostly a Commander/multiplayer card at its core, and yeah, playing politics with this sounds like a lot of fun.
some weird 4CC build to make that work... seems like a lot of hoops. No matter what, this is a build around card and pound for pound in the current standard you're probably better running Forbidden Fruit in any slots you'd put this into. And I'm not saying that's saying much. And any other format has better options in B.
If I have 3feri out does this just become Five or Fiction? I get five and their card is fiction? It should work the same way as Finale of Promise, right? Plus, upticking 3feri let's me cast this on their EoT.

I'm 300% on board with making this work.
If you want to run four colours then sure, anything is possible.

So if this has to be cast immediately, the chosen card by your opponent would have to be an instant to get any use out of it, no? Or does it ignore timing restrictions?
just like the Teferi, Time Raveler+Possibility Storm lock - if you have T3feri out this becomes just a 5 mana draw (since they need to cast the card as soon as the spell resolves). The T3feri/Storm Lock and T3feri/Allure also work with Lavinia, Azorius Renegade.
With the above Locks and Value Engine you have the following weird 4C Shell to build around (there is about 16 cards to play around with, which you can put in Fae of Wishes for search, or build towards a DTT shell):
4 ~ Threat ~
4 ~ Removal -
4 ~ Other ~
4 Lavinia, Azorius Renegade
4 Allure of the Unknown
4 Teferi, Time Raveler
4 Possibility Storm
4 Thoughtseize
4 Opt
4 ~ Mana Generator/Color Fixing ~
20 Lands

It ignores timing restriction. Any time a spell gives someone permission to cast something during resolution (like this does) it implicitly ignores timing restrictions because normally you can't cast anything during a spells resolution.

on the (actual) plus side, Seb MicKinnon knocks it out of the park again with yet another art piece I want as a playmat
And for doing so, my opponent gets the best card out of the 6 and casts it for free? And I draw 5. Not sure I am on board for this one.

I dunno, because drawing five cards for 5 is good no?

This card seems good in the right, memey deck. Something so specific or niche that your opponent can't make use of.
For this one high potential edh staple you can co-op with someone to deal with a really bad boardstate
Secondly here’s the you guys are underrating part comes in
You guys keep forgetting these exist
Also flicker/bounce effects
Second the exile part if they keep it there also cards
And instant and sorcery that go to yard after use there’s hundreds or thousands of cards that can get stuff out of yard to hand for recast
