In modern/pioneer we can use it along side war jace and risen reef+master of waves wombo. Putting aside the win con the ability is like the old tutors (but you see less cards most of the time). Def worth.

Sure, but it's functionally different and Scry X is much more powerful than this ability. Here you get to set up at most 1 draw, now you get to set it up from potentially a large part of your library but with scry X you have access to the same amount of your library and get to set up X draws.

Yes, that's the one. Did it get banned in standard, I thought it was there through rotation. I do know it got banned in Pioneer. What puzzles me is that it was even attractive to those that played it. In effect you're banking your whole game on the one thing you can't control - your opponent's willingness to concede.

I think it might have just been banned on arena. Which is the right choice imo. Durdley control decks have no place digitally where you can't just flip off your opponent or at least get up and go get a drink or something while you wait.
Time for me to swap alternate win cons in Modern Ad Nauseam Combo and Modern Underworld Breach Combo! As a hilarious bonus in my current Underworld Breach build, I can play this gal early-game to dig for the combo, then kill her with self-milled Dreadbore mid-combo and re-cast her at the end.

my sea monster deck just got a Thassa themed win condition. This is just crazy and I love it. Even consistently losing this card to a whelming wave loop is no problem because I can just keep re-casting her and Thassa herself makes this even better

I concede your point about the other 4 colors occasionally getting alternate wincons. However, they have a long way to go to catch up with blue over the course of recent sets.

doomsday and Demonic Consultation for this when you know it’s on the bottom is the best combo I can think of
