And probably a villain based off Vivien aiming at him
Sorry guys another human walker
Maybe Vivien is the villain here?
If there's any justice in the world, yes. She screams eco-terrorist to me, and the fact that Wizards seems to want to play her as sympathetic (given her short story on Ixalan) is ridiculously off-putting to me.
I doubt it though, since despite the other walker being the primary focus of the art, it looks like Vivien is the main character.
Ditto or maybe a Wolfs Rain where the human form is an illusion they use.

"You can tell how dumb someone is by how they use Mary Sue"
Given the hints we've already gotten that Mutate acts on animals in Ikoria, maybe he used to be fully human, then opted to use Mutate on himself a bunch (i.e. a vaguely Tibalt-like story)?
What kind of a name is Django Wexler, sounds like a Planeswalker guy.
He's the guy that wrote the email short stories that were part of the chaos that was the War of the Spark story. They were substantially better than the actual books.

A <snip> Would be better than those books. But Wexler did well. Glad he‘s back. I wonder who originally wrote the Theros novel? And what’s happening to it now?
Thanks for the update, AbzanPlaneswalker! (Also, hopefully we'll get an actual BGW planeswalker soon.)
Is it possible that Vivien is aiming for the magic rock? Maybe that way that guy's *bond* to that wild animal would be *sundered*. Could this be a story about a guy capturing wild animals to experiment on them in order to empower or mutate himself and Vivien bursting into the scene going full PETA?
The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.
That's what I thought way back when I learned the names Corin Nemec and Jonas Quinn. You tell me which sounds more like a made up alien name and which like an actual real world actor's.

Nice SG-1 reference there.
Glad about the author. The Gathering Storm was truly enjoyable (except about Jarad characterization, but it wasn't his fault)

Okay so I had to do a double glance to make sure I wasnt seeing things but for a moment there, it looked like an Ulamog-like Eldrazi in the artwork behind Vivien and Guy holding Crystal. I was thinking that it might be possible that since this is the plane of huge creatures, what if this is their home plane? We got a card from Commander 2019 that made and Eldrazi creature that looks NOTHING like what we expect Eldrazi to be, given the 3 we already know. Anyways, my two thoughts.

The eldrazi don't have a home plane they are from/born? from the space in-between planes and the c19 token/ art is a reprint from BtZ.

It’s not a eldrazi
This is what it is
Based on the creature typings it’s probably a “Demon dinosaur” or the “dinosaur turtle”/“demon Kraken”

The art is very much like the style they used during M19 when they introduced Vivien, I've been wondering if she had originally been made for Ikoria and introduced earlier to be a walker for War of the Spark.

So I'm wondering then if this is a set where DFCs would fit in...If the lycanthropy feel indicates anything.
