Honestly, I half expected/hoped the alt-art Toho cards would be today’s big reveal. Easily the best part of these is the nod to ‘Distracted Boyfriend’ meme on Squire.
That full art on a vanilla and a french vanilla.... majestic

How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.
Yes it's April's first but they also acknowledge that they will eventually print these and sent them at no cost to WPN stores to give as prizes lol

11:15, restate my assumptions: 1. Mathematics is the language of nature. 2. Everything around us can be represented and understood through numbers. 3. If you graph these numbers, patterns emerge. Therefore: There are patterns everywhere in nature. - Maximillian Cohen.
I actually like Goblin Snowman because it's one of the first cards I was introduced to and Squire is from the very first set I managed to complete as a collector.
I like the art for three of them, not a big fan of the Squire art but eh... still a squire by definition I guess. I can guarantee that somewhere on the internet someone is going to, or already have, complain about what it's depicting.
Ignoring the date (duh), these might be fun to get at my LGS but I can imagine a lot of people peeved off if they get them as say... FNM prize or something.
You know, if they sold this for ten bucks a shot (WITH a stained glass planeswalker!) and gave the money to charity (especially for PPE for medical workers) I'd seriously buy a playset. That Storm Crow is bedazzling, the Squire hilarious, the Goblin Snowman just fun. Only the Mudhole will forever remain a Mudhole.

That would actually be a great idea.
No joke, the art on all these is fantastic.
(Mudhole would actually blow out some EDH strategies, including my Windgrace deck... this better not catch on!)

I would buy as well as long as it went to who you suggest or American Red Cross (or both). Probably not just one but 2 to 4 of them. I would even buy today with the caveat they wouldn't ship for a couple of months. I could wait, the money for who need it can't.

STOP using "dude/bro" as a pejorative or insult. Grow up.
Margaret Thatcher: “The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.”
Benjamin Franklin: "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."
Martin Luther King Jr.: "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."
(Mudhole would actually blow out some EDH strategies, including my Windgrace deck... this better not catch on!)
For when you want to hose Windgrace but also want to cast Rise of the Dark Realms later, Mudhole is here for you where Tormod's Crypt fails every time.
I wonder where the goblin is going to put that second carrot.
It always tilted me that it didn't get errata'd to be a snow creature though. It's literally made of snow! And it got reprinted in the very set that came out after Coldsnap, the set that introduced the snow subtype.
I work for the american red cross and this really got me. I could care less about the choice of joke cards, but the encouragment to donate is just amazing. We really need your help. If the nations blood supply runs out we are in really big trouble. If you can donate blood, especiaply O-, I beg you to please do, just call ahead as most centers are not taking walk ins and expect a temp check, sanitizer and social distancing rules. If you can donate cash please do. Blood, platelets and plasma all play a role in treating our most vulnerable citizens. Thank you to all past and present donors, and thank you WOTC.
Oh. I thought these were getting printed! The Red Cross donation clause felt so genuine - and why would they troll regarding such a serious subject as the Red Cross? I figured the fact that they got printed was the April Fool's joke itself - but they still commissioned new art for these, so I assumed they'd eventually see print. It seems like enough people are actually interested in them - more-so than the Constellation Gods or the Women's Month set.

They actually are going to be printed - at the bottom of the article they say that when things get back to normal (I'm paraphrasing) they are going to find a way to give these to stores for free, for the stores to do what they want with them

Given the tone of the entire article, I still believe they're joking about the part where this drop ever sees print. Bringing up the Red Cross in a tease seems crass but possible.
...Well, if nothing else, at least we got an awesome Goblin Snowman wallpaper out of it.
Mudhole looks suspiciously like Richat Structure while Storm Crow has very un-crow like appearance.
I would certainly not be unhappy if I get this from LGS at FNM (I play commander FNMs with random promos as prizes so that would fit that formula nicely).

You mean Chimney Imp, right?
Based on the tone of the article, I actually doubt they'll eventually see print. Shoulda made these the April Fool's Day Secret Lair for real....

Chimney imp probably shouldve been included too, but the list is solid regardless.
I too would like to see something where a massive part of the sales go toward fighting this virus and protecting our healthcare workers.
