Additionally core 2021 release date is not affected (so far) it’s still June 25th for digital and July 3rd for table and prerelease is still June 26th as well
At this point they should just alter their time line a lot more. Push all of the releases way out. Push all of the rotations way out. The world isn't going to get back to normal until maybe January 2021. Their is going to a large virus 2nd wave once it's warm outside.
That's highly unlikely, especially with all the other card games out there still making regularly scheduled releases. The only other one I've seen push back releases was Transformers and that's also a Wizards product. There's really no reason for Wizards to throw away millions of dollars in revenue they can generate from selling paper where they can and online everywhere. Yeah, that's bad for the stores that can't sell now, but there isn't really much you can do about that.

Last I saw was the second wave was expected in the Fall or Winter, not the Summer.
a second wave that is totally due to speculation. There is 0 evidence for all of it. I bet it'll be because people go back into public. It's not gonna magically reproduce itself without host to transmit it to others. We'd have dealt with this a month ago if people would have stopped going to their local LGS and everywhere else acting like it wasn't real... US has already proven they don't listen and damaged itself massively.
EDIT
I'm also not speaking out of ignorance, I understand viruses. Just saying the only way a second wave happens is because people reexpose themselves.

While this is true it's not like the virus is likely to completely disappear at all. Making reexposure more a question of how severe rather than when. Even after the pandemic is over it won't mean the virus is gone it will just mean a large enough number of people have enough immunity that it isn't spreading like wildfire. After that phase, it will continue to do rounds around the global population continuing to affect groups that still haven't developed immunity and groups who are immune-compromised. The thing to be wary of at that point is a mutation that makes it ignore previous immunity or resistance to then developed treatments.
The speculation that a second wave is based on is the assumption that people will continue to be people. Acting with a combination of ignorance, defiance of authority, and complete disregard for other's well-being. So while calling it speculation is correct it implies a level of uncertainty that isn't actually present. So while it isn't as certain as the sun rising the next day it is as certain as a large company acting in the interest of profit rather than consumer well-being.

There's only the evidence of every other time something remotely like this has happened...including other countries which had relaxed their orders this time around. And including the 1919 influenza and pretty much every pandemic and plague we have good enough records to be able to know either way.
So yeah. 0 evidence. If you willfully exclude all the evidence humans have ever collected.
As long as a set is not being canceled, i don´t see Magic dying
I just don't see the whole point of playing Arena at home to pay entry fees to your LGS digitally for FNM and Standard over Discord when it's a waste of overhead and play space that may or may not ever be used again due to prohibiting players from playing Paper Magic because of the current pandemic. I get that people are doing this to support these businesses in this time of crisis but aside from curb-side pickup and e-commerce deliveries, this is just delaying the inevitable by paving the way for a new business model that doesn't require as many resources like it did before. You have to understand that a lot of people have a normalcy bias where they want to continue to do things that feel more natural to them and now because of the virus they either have to adapt to this "new normal" or move on with their lives.

Nope, I completely forgot about it because there are too many products coming out lately.
Did it go by a different name? I had to Google it as well. Could've sworn it was called something else.
Got it...

Never would've thought Paper Magic would die from a global pandemic yet here we are.
Ironically enough I actually remember being warned about this in the mid 2000's though I took it with a grain of salt.

I would be more worried if it was one of the main sets. I don´t even remember what jumpstart is, lol
Have you already forgotten about Ikoria?
