1# a art card from the main set (like modern horizons deck) there’s a 5% chance it will be signed by the artist in gold color
2# the Basic land slot 15% chance it’s foil (and yes like the other 2 blocks Of zendikar they are full art basics)
3# the commons and uncommons but the odds go like this
Five commons, one uncommons will happen 35% of the time.
Four commons, two uncommons will happen 40% of the time.
Three commons, three uncommons will happen 12.5% of the time.
Two commons, four uncommons will happen 7% of the time.
One common, five uncommons will happen 3.5% of the time.
Zero commons, six uncommons will happen 2% of the time.
4# a common/uncommon in the showcase art (and one other thing they can’t talk about yet)
5# two cards of random rarity from the set
Common, common will happen 49% of the time.
Common, uncommon will happen 24.5% of the time.
Common, rare/mythic will happen 17.5% of the time.
Uncommon, uncommon will happen 3.1% of the time.
Uncommon, rare/mythic will happen 4.3% of the time.
Rare/Mythic ,rare/mythic will happen 1.6% of the time.
6# the rare/mythic slot and
Oh The rate of pulling a mythic was 1 in 8 rares are mythics But however as of zendikar rising and forward
It’s now gonna be be 1 in 7.4 rares are mythics so by 0.6 more mythics now so mythics are gonna be a hair more common and yes regular old draft/standard set boosters will also get this odd change as well
7# the foil slot and it’s any rarity so you have a chance of having 4 rares/4 mythics in one pack
8# lastly it’s the regular old ad/token slot but in this new one 25% chance it’s a card from the list.
the list is 300 chosen cards from Magic’s past with the old frame with a planeswalker symbol on the bottom left (essentially the exact same thing the mystery booster did) and before you scream it they isntatly confirmed the fetch lands are not in the 300 and also no none of these will be standard legal either
but they revealed 3 of the 300 (1/100th of the list essentially)
Retail claimed around $5 for these but I’m almost certain those greedy people ever since MSRP disappeared that price tag will be more than that
Oh they also showed the product images of zendikar rising At the bottom
Reveals
Jace Nissa and nahiri as the 3 walkers
And Omnath learning the next color Now it has a yellow arm with his red and blue one with his green Body so he’s learning white next (tin foil hat Theory one of the 2 the commander deck will be 5-color to present omnath learning black)
If they are only a $1 or so more than regular packs...... this is their way of getting rid of regular packs??? They seem very much more worth it. Maybe they are doing a slow roll to this style and dropping the draft booster

According to their claim about why they even made this pack that is not going to happen as roughly half the packs opened are opened for draft. Don't expect draft packs to ever go away. Just like don't expect paper magic to ever go away.
Their claim for making this pack was the half the packs opened weren't being used in draft so they decided to make a pack that you don't draft.
Yet another new type of pack the whales will go for (I’m almost certain the price will be 3/4 to about 1/2 what collector boosters price is)
The article said they would be around $1 more than normal Draft Boosters. So, around $5 retail instead of $4.
I would love that but the no msrp thing kind of makes me doubt that will stay but I will hope though
The reason is simple remember Secret lair ultimate edition they claimed to be like slightly higher than $165 But Then a little later it’s price tag magically changed to around $400
These packs seem so incredibly redundant. There's barely any difference between these and draft boosters although I'd much rather have these boosters than collectors boosters.
The weirdest part of the article was...
Now we venture into the Big Finish Chapter. This chapter is about guaranteed goodies. The first slot here is your rare/mythic rare slot. This was the most exciting thing in the Draft Boosters, so we couldn't get rid of that.
Well it's kind of obvious that the rare is the most liked part of a booster. Like, what the hell is this line?
I am a little surprised Maro didn't speak of the mini boosters that happened many years ago that had which had 6 cards in them.
Please, mill me. Mill my important cards. Mill my lands. Mill it all. Because I will still deal 20 damage before you can mill 45 cards most every time.
I'll say I was talking about this just the other day about getting a non draft booster. And they deliver in 1 day. Seems okay. Have to wait for the response to see how it sells. I don't think increasing the randomness will go over that well. I don't know if there is much of a reason to buy these. Again like other posters have said they might be eliminating the regular booster for this.
For me, the guaranteed foil is a big draw (and the possibility of more than one rare is as well). For only $1 or so more, it seems like a much better potential value and without a bunch of commons that I always give away anyway.
So two LESS cards in a booster for 1 dollar a booster MORE.
LESS product for MORE money. Easy to see through the dog and pony show WotC and Maro are running for Hasbro.

I’ll trade all of my draft boosters for any of these pesky set boosters you obtain. You will make our like a bandit since the pack you’ll be getting has two more cards!
But the interesting part to me is mythics are 8% more likely to be pulled from here on out starting In zendikar rising In all types of packs and sets
Thus making nonpremium boosters even less worth it.
Draft boosters get the drop rate change as well, and set boosters are hardly premium.
Nonpremium here was not meant to imply these. It was meant to mean the actual premium boosters.
See, its already even difficult to talk about the products released now.
The other thing a lot of people forget... increased odds at stuff means decreased prices. $5 for a pack with better odds seems fine... until you realize 95% of what you open is worth precisely dick.
But hey lets keep convincing ourselves this isnt gambling

There's a higher rate of rares and mythics, looks to be a higher rate of uncommons, guaranteed foil, guaranteed collectible art card, guaranteed showcase/whatever special frame thing card.
That's what you're paying for.
I doubt people buy draft boosters looking for those extra commons.

Sure, but that isn't a problem with set boosters though, is it? That's just a core part of mtg's monetisation model. I suppose you could argue these are meant to encourage more people to invest in actually opening boosters for cards, and that's probably true, but at least they do offer some decent return on that and aren't as reliant on artificially inflated value as the collector boosters.
I think there's a lot of complaining about something no one has actually experienced yet I for one am super excited about this! I mainly play booster battles (pack wars) with my boosters and these seem way, way better for that. If they put them in big box stores they'll probably stick around the 5 dollar price range. Heck, I could see them cutting draft boosters from big box stores. These make way more sense for there. Or at least they should do that.
I'm just further confused. I really don't get it. Why.
Everything is getting closer and closer to the "this product is not for you" 2120 scenario. I'm genuinely confused about what product, if any, I would ever want to actually purchase to open and why I would seek a given product over another.
But the interesting part to me is mythics are 8% more likely to be pulled from here on out starting In zendikar rising In all types of packs and sets
The chance of getting a mythic was 1 in 8 rare slots. With Zendikar Rising, it's 1 in 7.4 rare slots. An individual would still have to to open a ton of these to see the 0.6 improvement. If you aren't a retailer or an individual with a lot of money to buy a lot of boosters, that 0.6 improvement isn't noticeable. Also, each box has variance. Some people can see as few as 3-4 mythics in a box while others managed to find 6-7 mythics in a box.
This is another marketing gimmick by Wizards to try to get people to buy this. It's still a pack lottery.
Looks like yet another new type of pack

You know how you make opening boosters fun? You design interesting, and reasonably fair cards that i want to use in decks.
Theme boosters were too expensive to be worth it and had next to no reward.
Premium boosters killed the viability of normal ones outside of drafting.
Its not fun to open some alt art or borderless card then find out its worthless when it really shouldnt be due to market saturation.
Its not fun to spend money on a pack and find out you didnt get that hot mythic so the entire pack is next to worthless.
Its not fun to no longer be able to trade up because so much value is tied to just a few mythics each set.
Its not fun to need a spreadsheet to track what you open.
All of the changes theyve made to packs since eldraine have made opening packs the least fun i have had in over 25 years of pack cracking.
This is just more ******* gambling and frankly im sick of it.

I doubt it.
Draft is still popular, and these are explicitly not designed for draft.
These are more likely to replace theme boosters, if anything.

So, what's the point?
