How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.
It's weirdly cheap to cast. Archons don't cost 3...they cost 5+. They're an alternative 'iconic' to Angels. (Also mostly cost 5+) This should have been some other tribe or they should have just saved this art for some other random Archon. It's a great card but making it an Archon makes a lot less sense at 3 mana.
A griffin / pegasus would've been more appropriate maybe ? I guess the thing is archons have hatebear-like effects, so it fits in a way.
This card can't be Recruited by the Guard, but has a role in Legacy D&T. Me interested.

We’ve had a 1-drop Angel fairly recently so a 3-drop Archon doesn’t feel like a big deal at all to me.
This is a nice white card for deck like Mono W Aggro-Control/Hatebear-decks, but CMC 3 is really overcrowded by useful creatures.
One good trait of this new creature is that slowes down opponent's fetchlands and this is pretty huge because this ability is one-sided.
It is not broken, but not that strong either.
