The picture bothers me. It doesn't look like it's in the cliff yet it's being held up somehow.
With that type of handle it could theoretically be balanced enough to just hang like it is. Bad idea though since it could easily fall if the wind gusts in the wrong direction.

Why would you play this over the plethora of spells that give +4/+4 in that deck exactly? It's worse than all of them. It requires a fetchland to give +4/+4 unlike the other spells.
This is just bad, it requires you having a bunch of lands to play to even do anything. It does nothing T1 and nothing late game, and in the mid-game leaves you super open to blow outs.

you only need 2 lands
One taps for green and one is a fetchlands that can get a forest
T2 play the axe It auto equips to the elf then Play the fetchland after the axe enters for +2/+2 Crack it for a forest that’s another +2/+2 then play scale up

Skyclave Pick-Axe doesn't do nothing late-game. You can start hoarding lands in hand to make a late one decent. You can re-equip this to another Infect dude mid- to late-game. You're only open to tempo blowouts when equipping this if you have no choice. This is rather like a sorcery-speed, multi-shot Groundswell.

You have to cast Scale Up first. If you played it the way you said, Scale Up would overwrite the +2/+2 bonuses you got from the lands just making it 6/4.

Scale Up modifies base power and toughness only. +X/+Y boosts like those that Skyclave Pick-Axe provides are always applied on top. The sequencing works just fine.

A slightly worse Adventuring Gear.

Not really though. Free equip is a big gain on turn 2 before you play a land.

Comedy gaming podcast. Listening to it makes you cool.
That's debatable. Colored mana aside, you can play this turn 2 on a 1-drop and immediately landfall and swing.
