This is a "bad" card as far as competitive cantrips go, but it is a new design, I'll give WotC that. Outside of instant/sorceries matter situations, Omen of the Sea seems just better overall.
Huh... I think this may be the first magic card name that’s a heteronym.
I am going to annoy so many people by intentionally using the adjective pronunciation (“done on purpose”) instead of the verb pronunciation (“to think about”).
They could definitely stand to push the envelope on cantrips more. I know they're inordinately scared of preordain, which is inexplicable to me having played with it in standard, but this ain't it fam. At two mana this should have been scry 3 or 4. Omen of the Sea has TWO upsides over this card, and that's an embarrassing spot to be in.

Preordain moves up 1 and becomes an instant. Maybe this one won't be banned everywhere, seeing as Omen of the Sea isn't even that playable.

Edit: found this, it's pretty cool.

Several upsides, arguably: devotion, Sun Titan, Sphere of Safety, etc.
