I don't see the Collected Company depicting child soldiers. A lot of parents send their kids to self-defense classes after school, and I highly doubt Ajani would ever permit such a thing, let alone being all happy. (Good to see him happy.)
Though, if you consider the location of leonin societies, such as Naya and Theros, it's never a bad idea to learn how to fight very early on. Kids will be protecting themselves and their tribes, therefore their future.
Real missed opportunity to not have Tamiyo with her kids in one of the cards.

How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.
You know a lot of this shade getting thrown at Wizards with this set is pretty funny. Yeah they are making some money and put together a great staple secret lair to fuel a charitable cause. So what? They also support an entire childrens hospital in Road Island and have done so for years. Most of you don't even come out of your parents basements long enough to hold a door open for someone.
The proper way would be to charge 30 bucks and make a OPTIONAL donation money X on the order (so as a customer you might just order the product without making a "forced" donation just to buy the product).
Then WotC would donate from the 30 bucks as a true honest donation by the company.
As its right now, WotC donates basically nothing and forces the customer to make a 30$ donation on their behave.

thank god people still have some critical thinking and don't just bend over to the 1%

In this case it's like you are handing them a tax break. They donate the money and reap the benefits of donating your money. That's why some are criticizing it.
Should have been $30 per drop with WotC giving $20 to Seattle Childrens Hospital for each and only keeping $10 a drop to cover their costs. They may have sold well over twice the number of drops over the $60 price tag and raised even more money for Childrens' Hospital.
UltraPro is donating $16 of every $21 mat sold to Childrens Hospital. That works out to be 72% of every mat sold going to charity. Far above the 50% of WotC/Hasbro.
Regardless I will save my money on this and donate to a Childrens' Hospital in my region instead.

To the people complaining about ‘child soldiers’
A) This a fictional setting, not real life. With fictional beings, that don’t exist in real life.
B) This is on Naya. Why wouldn’t you train your young ones to fight against the undead hordes of Grixs and the predators of Jund? They would be utterly stupid not to train them.

people get the impression of child soldiers, and to be fair, at first i also thought ... "okay, why is that jungle guy looking like he trains child soldiers? is this intended?"... doesnt matter what the artist ment to depict, if people get that impression, he might have done a mistake. ajani could have just played with them or teach them something in school. but they have weapons and seem to follow orders / be disciplined. and at least the 1st thing is something children should not need.

If it's Ajani training them, that was before the Conflux and before they had contact with the other shards, right?

I'd say that charities use the money in better ways than our federal government hemorrhages it, but that's only true for some charities. Not all of them can be trusted. Still, if you manage to send your money to something good versus something unstable and unhelpful, I can't argue with it.
You can't really say, "No they're not child soldiers" and then in the same breath say, "They're just being taught to defend themselves. They need to know how to fight in combat because the world is dangerous."
So which is it? Are they not child soldiers, or is it good actually that they're being trained to fight in combat as child soldiers? Can't have it both ways.

Yes you can. If you've ever worked in school you'd know parents send their kids to learn martial arts and light weaponry all the time, so they can handle emergency when it arises. You don't have to be soldiers to learn self-defense. It's like learning to scan virus on your computer doesn't automatically make you a hacker.
