Secret lairs are trash but at least the bob ross paintings lands show promise of being interesting. I want some Ken Marschall or James Flood Islands as they’re my favorite artists and naturally are maritime artists
They missed a great opportunity of doing a "crossover" with cardboardcrack to create a new card "À la" walking dead ; Emrakul's worst nightmare sorcery 13GG create fifteen 1/1 green squirrel tokens.

11:15, restate my assumptions: 1. Mathematics is the language of nature. 2. Everything around us can be represented and understood through numbers. 3. If you graph these numbers, patterns emerge. Therefore: There are patterns everywhere in nature. - Maximillian Cohen.
I wish I could gloat about calling for another 2-7 SLs coming before the end of the ear, but this was expected. These five are worse than normal. Perhaps some of the art might save one or two of these, but I doubt it.
only 2 out of 5 are garbage in the rocks (sphere and ingot)
The other 3 are you must put in mana rocks depending on the deck
One of those three comes in every Commander precon, another most likely will come in most if not all Commander precons, and the other, while good, really only needs to be in 3+ color decks.
In the case of that one they're basically going to charge you $30 for a Chromatic Lantern.
I do agree that isn't really all that good. But, it is worth pointing out that for those of us who care about foils, this is the first time Arcane Signet would be available in foil which is pretty significant considering it is basically a staple in EDH. If one doesn't care about foils, I do think the box isn't all that great since those 5 cards can currently be had for about $15. Unless that is what they sell the Secret Lair for.
All of this assumes the information is accurate obviously.
For some reason, I find the Seb McKinnon secret lair to be hard to believe. Maybe it's because it explicitly promotes the work of one artist in a non-unified context.

You offer a good point about the foil, though foils from SLs tend to be warped right out of the box and thanks to that some cards may not be playable in constructed formats.

But it’s in Commander Legends, so it’ll get another foil printing very soon.
How do you like Anthony S. Waters' work, specifically on cards like Wirewood Lodge or his Ravnica Island artwork? I was blown away when I saw those.
As for Secret Lairs, I'm happy to see any excuse for potential alternate artwork or completely new cards, even if that's always hit or miss for me (heck, it took two and a half decades *and* a promo to finally get a Llanowar Elves artwork that I liked).
What is Krosan Beast doing in the Squirrel thing? And why no Deranged Hermit, isn't that like THE squirrel money card??
So is this another superdrop, I assume? Another chance at a fetchland would be nice...
Well, I mean it is a squirrel...I guess they didn't have many to choose from?
And Deranged Hermit is reserved.
Shouldn't make much of a difference, if they're willing to put reserved list in Judge Foil and in FTV, Secret Lair is the next one
None of these really pique my interest all that much except the Bob Ross one, yet I can't bring myself to buy basics
Yeah, the closed the foil loophole in 2010 due to massive outcry about "abusing the foil loophole". This then led to... massive outcry about closing said loophole.

A loophole that should never have been closed, but torn wide open instead.
100% buying Seb McKinnon SL. Already 4 of my favorite cards in Magic (yes, including Swamp ;)), plus Seb is one of my favorite artists. I miss RK Post and Daarken being everywhere. And Puddnhead.

this is a first but you made a error
commander legends is reprinting arcane signet it will be foil as of commander legends the SL speciality is the art
Wheeeeeee none of these are exciting and shouldve been used to support commander legends by at least one of them having legends in it wheeee
The seb one at least has a good selection of reprints, but the rocks one sucks ass given the rocks that couldve and shouldve been included.
The only reason mana vault is worth what it is is because its never reprinted to a reasonable degree. It sees play in just one format but is 50 dollars, 10 years ago it was 3. God forbid we offer creative reprints.

The only way Mana Vault will ever go down in price is if usage drops (like Tarmogoyf) or it gets reprinted in a Standard-legal set as either a rare or a mythic rare, and then get a million different frame treatments for Collector Boosters. The former won't happen anytime soon, and Standard/Pioneer/Historic/Modern does not need more overpowered ramp options.

That is a very good catch actually. I haven't been keeping up with leaks so I didn't realize it is in Commander Legends. With the, historically, poor foiling these have had as mentioned above, this makes the value of that particular Secret Lair even worse.
