Getting rid of the intimidate vow seems kind of silly. I'm all for getting a new card in its place but I don't like the precedent of not being able to reprint something based off of an ever-shifting design philosophy. Seems like a great way to drive up prices of other cards that could use reprints. We already have a problem getting useful, needed reprints.

How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.
They might have (and that is likely a pretty good guess). Gavin said the cycle is complete and there is a new black Vow to replace that of Vow of Malice.
I don't really play these cards, but the main complaint I have had with commander cards is that they are not available in foil. This product doesn't have that issue but it does leave Vow of Malice without a foil printing. It might be a small group of people who actually care, but not printing it because of Intimidate does seem like a pretty stupid reason to leave it out of the cycle and eliminate its chances at a foil printing.
And, as Decadent_Creed alludes to, this has a pretty big effect on other possible reprints of cards that might use outdated or unused keywords.
This is starting to look silly that because intimidate has fallen out of favor for standard and pioneer (and maybe Modern Horizons 2) they couldn’t include Vow of Malice in with this cycle.
Today, Gavin reminds us of this cycle from Commander 2011... except for the black one because it has intimidate.

Therefore I really don't get why this wasn't reprinted.
